Jennifer Aniston On Angelina: "Uncool" And "Inappropriate"

Jennifer Aniston is on the December 2008 cover of Vogue (READ WHOLE THING HERE) and speaking out about Angelina Jolie.

Aniston asked the reporter, Jonathan Van Meter, to turn off the tape recorder when first asked about her ex-husband Brad Pitt's partner. Here's what she did say on the record:

On being bothered that Angelina recounted a detailed timeline of how she fell in love with Brad Pitt on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith: "There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening. I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss. That stuff about how she couldn't wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool.

On if she ever speaks to Brad: "[We've exchanged] a few very kind hellos ... and congratulations on your babies... [We] had an amicable split ... The marriage didn't work out."

More the marriage:

"The marriage didn't work out... Pretty soon after we separated, we got on the phone and we had a long, long conversation with each other and said a lot of things, and ever since we've been unbelievably warm and respectful of each other."

Anistonays she's been "unbelievably lucky in love," but adds, "Whoever said everything has to be forever," she says. "That's setting your hopes too high. It's too much pressure. And I think if you put that pressure on yourself ... that's unattainable."

On her romance with John Mayer: "People need to mind their own business! Did you ever think Claudia Schiffer and David Copperfield made sense? Love just shows up....

"It's funny when you hit a place in a relationship and you both realize [that] we maybe need to do something else, but you still really, really love each other. It's painful. There was no malicious intent. I deeply, deeply care about him; we talk, we adore one another. And that's where it is."

On when Mayer bragged about dumping her: "Trust me, you'll never see that happen again from that man."

Honestly, it seems like all Jen cares about is "Me Me Me...".

But Angelina has been helping developed nations for over 10 years. Long before anyone heard of it.

So I really can understand why Brad picked Angelina.

I don't know why people single Angelina out when she wasn't even intimate with Brad until he and Jenn were officially separated, but no one speaks ill of Tori Spelling who stole a married man and she was married at the time or Julia Roberts who harassed her husbands first wife or Kristy Swanson who stole the husband of a pregnant woman. Jennifer could have kept Brad from straying if she really wanted too - her career was too important. Now Brad and Angelina have fantastic careers and a house full of brats too, so if Jennifer really didn't want children she should have been honest with her husband.

Jennifer seems to be enjoying being free and sampling a little man here and a little man there. I know she was asked the question, but she should say no comment because when she does answer she comes across as a bitter woman and I'm sure thats not how she wants her ex and the woman he's with now to view her.

it was stated early on in the relationship by both Angelina and Brad but whether its true or not, my point is this is Hollywood why is Angelina viewed so badly when this is a natural occurrence amongst the 'famous'. No one else is dragged through the fire like she is.

I do like Anniston's hair parted on the side. Looks more grown up. She was one of the few people I saw that could pull off the parted-down-the-middle perfectly straight thing. I think she started a fad (retro from the 70's) that never really did look that good on most people. So, even though she looked fine that way, I really like to see the side part.

Why do we feel compelled to take sides on this issue? In reality, in a failed marriage, there are so many gray areas, and so many components. I am divorced, and I noticed people would always ask, "whose fault was it?" I would just look at them. "Fault" is not a word that can be used in these instances. I mean, short of abuse....

I personally, LIKE all three of them! Isn't that ok? Anniston is cute as a bug and what is not to like about her? Brad is yummy and sweet and a phenomenal actor, who took the edgy parts when he could have just been a pretty boy. Angelina had her wild time when she was young; then she left those ways behind and became a woman of substance at an age when lots of women are still simpering on the phone over "hot" guys. She was a UN ambassador to women refuges and knew more about the Taliban than anyone I heard speak right after 9/11. And she was - what- 25 years old? She had lived among the Afghan refugee women and children even before we were attacked in 2001.

I suppose we take sides because we hate to think of people being cavalier about issues like fidelity and marriage--at the end of the day though, most of us will never 100 percent know what happened between the three of them. I just believe Jen has a right to her emotions and should answer any question posed to her on the subject the way she wants to.

People who say otherwise either think cheating is okay or would do what Angelina or Brad did and don't like feeling guilty about it so they try to silence the injured party. We hate to have to face the uglier sides of human nature.

I do think there is a dangerous precedent in promoting the idea that a woman should never voice her pain in a situation like this. This is as if to say they are not entitled to their genuine emotions or that they should be okay with being harmed and let people trash them without repercussion...

That is unfair and should never be justified.

Outside of that all I c an say is they do need to keep things civil, but I won't blame Jen if she never invites Angie over for a cup of tea...

Yes, finally after four years she gets to speak her mind for the first time. First time if you discount the in depth article she did with Vanity Fair in the immediate months following her divorce and the sit downs with Oprah over the years as well as countless other interviews assuring everyone that she has moved on. She may be a nice person but she is also a person who loves publicity and the only way she makes news is to link herself to Brangelina. And women who are praising Jen for speaking out should check themselves because this "girl next door" throws Angelina under the bus while extolling the awesomeness of the man she believes cheated on her. What does this woman do other than lie around pools and go to clubs and restaurants? Have you ever heard of her connected with a charity, a philanthropy, a greater good.....a cause beyond her own career and looks?

Brad and Angelina are people of depth...they get outside themselves, serve other people and larger causes. They're into the "stuff" of life,... family, giving, loving.....They are totally out of Jen's league.

Nothing more than this photo shows what a fake she is..... check out the plastic face and the dishonest eyes....the pushed up boobies..."I wanna look 25!" even though she's approaching 40.

I am sure Brad moved beyond what she had to offer.
