Where's John McCain's honor when we need it?

We'll find out tonight, when the Arizona Republican appears on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno. In the week since the election, Mr. McCain's campaign team has leaked some nasty stuff about Sarah Palin. These leaks are personal, and they speak more to the character of Mr. McCain and the leakers than they do to Mrs. Palin. So it will be telling if Mr. McCain stands up for his partner and says how offended he has been by what some of his staffers have done to her.

Whatever he may or may not have been once upon a time, or whatever people have let him get away with in voicing his version of the truth of his character, in selling out to the concept of Ends Justifying Means, McCain showed us all exactly what he is and what he thinks of his country.

Palin is losing her looks already. I doubt she'll "energize" certain members of the base in 2012.

Plus, she doesn't know what the heck is going on.

It's a week too late for McCain to "stand up for her".

Obviously, they're his people and they're saying the things that he thinks and says in private, but doesn't want to be blamed for in public.

Same role Palin had for him with Obama.

Not. Honorable.

I had hoped the discussions about Palin would go away once the GOP lost. I mean, she was their DARLING and she lost (and so did McCain, in case anybody was paying attention). They lost. I don't care about them anymore.

Can we focus on something important, like the economy?

Leave Sarah to govern Alaska.

We need more McGurns and Kristols.
These delusional scribblings are too funny to read!

The following may help conservatives know what to expect in the coming months. The stages of Grief identified by Kubler-Ross are:
• Denial (this isn't happening to me!)
• Anger (why is this happening to me?)
• Bargaining (I promise I'll be a better person if...)
• Depression (I don't care anymore)
• Acceptance (I'm ready for whatever comes)
Most went through Denial before the election and now are well into Anger (aimed at each other). They can see from the list of stages where they are headed next.

On Palin, methinks the WSJ doth protest too much.

Nobody had to attack Palin. She disqualified herself, all by herself, almost every time she opened her mouth.

Are they only questioning McCain's honor because of the way Palin is being treated? What about the hateful and divisive rhetoric he allowed against Obama in his campaign? Hopefully, we will not see the fruit of that play out during O's Presidency.

McCain and Palin are liars. Can the American people just take a break from these two dumbbells?

Does the WSJ know how to DEFINE the word 'honor'? They surely cannot imagine anyone's thinking they ever exemplify the quality. Puking idiots.

Lest we forget that Notre Dame's football team also surged ahead in the polls after anointing Charlie Weis as their new head coach.

Sadly for the many fans of the Irish and for those of us who follow college football we now know what a disaster this turned out to be.

The same could be said when Larry Brown was hired to resurrect a dreadful New York Knicks NBA franchise.

So for the WSJ to assert that one of Palin’s strong points was that her selection resulted in McCain surging ahead in the polls simply isn’t relevant given its transient and short-lived destiny.

The GOP (and the WSJ) should realize that attacking the messenger – whether it’s McCain's staffers or the MSM – is dubious at best.
