Lara Logan Has Quiet Shotgun Wedding

Congrats to CBS News' Lara Logan. We hear the "Baghdad Bombshell" has quietly wed defense contractor Joe Burkett, whose child she's expecting in January.A friend of the couple confirms, "They got married a few weeks ago in a friend's apartment in New York City." Last year, two years after splitting with husband Jason Siemon, Logan, 37, started a war-zone romance with CNN correspondent Michael Ware. When they broke up, she started dating Burkett, whose marriage was on its last legs. The newlyweds just bought a four-bedroom house in D.C. Meanwhile, we hear U.S. Customs won't be investigating Logan for supposedly "looting" Iraq war antiquities, which turned out to be run-of-the-mill portraits of Saddam.

Lara Logan always seems to me to be too much in the tank for the official line - heavy on propaganda with a dash of an exhibition of squabbling thrown in to provide authentic flavor.

I don't trust her reporting much.

Agreed. Besides not being a shotgun wedding Huffpo should call it what it is: Lara got pregnant with another woman's husband. Old fashioned, unabashed adultery. Well, the headline made us all look, but...seri­ously, Huffpo....­this is NOT a "shotgun wedding" just because she's a 37 year old woman who's getting married right before giving birth.

"Shotgun wedding" is when dad holds a gun to the reluctant bridegroom. These two love- birds actually WANT to get married and have their baby.

So...quite different!
