I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Dennis Miller appeared on The O'Reilly Factor tonight (Miller is a frequent guest on Bill O'Reilly's show) and went on a rant regarding what Barack Obama should do to the executives of AIG when he takes office, namely, that Obama "should flatten these punks" and "come down hard on them." After Miller finished his rant, O'Reilly chimed in that Obama's next move should be "to arrest Barney Frank, correct?" Miller replies, "Eh, Barney might want to be arrested."

It seems that Frank, the most prominent openly-gay member of the House of Representatives, is being slurred by Miller for his homosexuality. The reactions of O'Reilly and Miller confirm that Miller's joke was inappropriate, to say the least. Watch and judge for yourself.

Was it Barney Frank who was sworn in as President on January 20, 2001 and again in 2005? Or was he one of the Republicans who controlled the House of Representatives (with tender abstention from partisanship) from 2001 through 2006? No? But from the way Bill O'Reilly wants to have him put in jail for being responsible for the current economic meltdown, you'd think Barney Frank must have been ... governor of Alaska or something. At any rate, if he can name any Supreme Court decisions, the grand jury will know he's up to no good.

Is that a stretch? Miller is a comediaen and frank did have a male escort service being run out of his DC pad. I'm sure if a Republican did that he would be forgiven by the Left. BTW, isn't Frank the chairman of the Banking Comm.? Haven't the banks been doing bad things lately?

Dennis Miller, homophobic joke was in very bad taste, Miller and O'Reilly acting like two little school girl who stole a peek of the boys locker room for the very first time.

What's sadder than Dennis Miller the washed-up SNL alum in his new conservative persona appearing on O'Reilly?!? Well, if you've seen Victoria Jackson lately, you know the answer to that question.

What does O'Reilly and Miller want to communicate about gays and Lesbians? I suspect they want to seem tolerant, even if they disagree about some issues. So, what's in the way of their being seen as tolerant. Well, it's their right-wing orientation, of course. But...but....not all right-wingers are intolerant. Still because they are conservative, they have to communicate which brand of conservative they are -- gay-tolerant or not. By subjecting a prominent gay to ridicule and even suggesting he is deviant, are they succeeding in communicating their tolerance?

The moral of this story is that Republicans have no idea who they are - conservative pro-gay, conservative anti-gay, brainwashed creationsists. . . I suggest a long trek through the desert, eat some of their own for survival, come out savaged and start over.

Gay San Franciscan here.
Don't like DM at all, but am not offended. Actually I thought it was kinda funny.
I'd rather we focus on hard-core homophobia in churches.

He must have taken the night off from headlining at the Hoboken Airport Quality Inn.

How does he manage the time between Vegas, his radio show (which is carried on Westwood one on hundreds of stations), his books, movies and TV appearances to make it to Hoboken? He is not only funny but hard working.
