I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Dennis Miller appeared on The O'Reilly Factor tonight (Miller is a frequent guest on Bill O'Reilly's show) and went on a rant regarding what Barack Obama should do to the executives of AIG when he takes office, namely, that Obama "should flatten these punks" and "come down hard on them." After Miller finished his rant, O'Reilly chimed in that Obama's next move should be "to arrest Barney Frank, correct?" Miller replies, "Eh, Barney might want to be arrested."

It seems that Frank, the most prominent openly-gay member of the House of Representatives, is being slurred by Miller for his homosexuality. The reactions of O'Reilly and Miller confirm that Miller's joke was inappropriate, to say the least. Watch and judge for yourself.

These two guys never have made fun at the fact that Jeff Gannon, a male prostitute, made regular visits to unnamed persons at the White House until he was discovered. Who was he visiting there? And why no outrage over Ted Nugent's draft dodging expose' where he claims to have crapped in his pants and lived in it until it was "crusty" in order to fail his induction physical? These two are entertainment for partisan right-wingers. It's pretty clear that the whole party they represent is now irrelevant.

Dennis rocks! Great humor. If Barney Frank could admit a mistake maybe he wouldn't be the butt (no pun intended) of jokes. Barney and everyone other government official that promoted "no documentation loans" to ease lending requirements (liar loans) should be removed from office. That includes a boat load of republicans and democrats - especially Barney Frank. Every economic problem we are experiencing today can be traced to this idiotic idea.

Yes, the people who would laugh at that are exactly the folks who say things like, "Dennis rocks! Great humor."

Look, they can say what they want. But seeing them crack themselves up (and maybe a few dullards out there) with a passing slam at a Congressman's sexuality just seemed lame to me.

The point is made in the fading ex-comic's first remark: "But I'll, tell ya, if he wants to earn my goodwill..."

Guess what? No one gives a hoot for your goodwill, Dennis, or that of Billow, as this election proved. Laugh at that for eight years, why don't you?

Love to watch him, funny guy! Not for everybody, but I sure enjoy him. Good job Dennis!

This joke was simply lame as it has been told in negligibly different ways for decades. The problem people would have with this comment isn't in defence of Frank professionally, it's about the knee jerk homophobia that is a slight against gay people in general. If you feel it was appropriate on a news outlet all the power to you. I doubt it offended the majority of fox news' audience so maybe it did have it's place. I t was a hack joke from a hack comedian

For me it s just fun to take jabs at Denis Miller not for his politics alone but because he has beaten the same oddly weak routine (given it's lifespan) to death for as long as i can remember. I personally put him on about the same comedic level in regards to actual humour and creativity as Denis Leary and if you know the Bill Hicks angle that was a low blow.

Dennis has really lost his place in life. He has not been taken seriously as a comic for almost a decade and now is following in Ann Colter's foot-steps as a far right political commentator. He's about as significant on FOX's FAUX as Dick Morris (wasn't Dick the far right Republican caught on film with some oriental prostitutes overseas after having denied it for a year?). What a group they have going there. Dennis - I hope you find your place in life but providing insight or entertainment for the rest of us just does not appear to be in your cards.

I didn't vote for Obama. Am I bitter and hateful? No the winner Won!! Now he must prove to
America that he can do the job. That is, keep America safe, priority number one. Maybe you guys should pick up a Bible and read it, you might get a little humility.
Or you could read my blog www.heavyladen.blogspot.com It has a lot of information about Judeo-Christian Values. You know those wackos that believe in God!!! But that is quite Okay, it speaks in the Bible of persecution. We love our fellow man, and at the same time we have to follow our teachings. How come you Liberals are allows standing up for Gays, radical Muslims, same sex marriage, terrorist, gitmo, but never have you stood up for a bible believing Christian. (That means a Christian that believes the Bible is the infallible Word of God)?

A couple of questions - why do you "bible believing Christians" insist on acting as though you're being persecuted when other people say they don't want to follow your beliefs? I've never heard a liberal say that you can't be allowed to believe whatever you want, or follow the teachings of your church, only that the whole world shouldn't be forced to follow the teachings of your church.

And, incidentally, what precisely is the difference between a "bible believing Christian" and just the garden variety? If someone says they don't believe that the Bible is the infallible word of God, do they get thrown out of your club? They don't count? They're not really Christians? What?

Wooooow....that was soo....FAKE. First off Bill O'Reilly looked rehearsed and Dennis Miller acting as if he'd blown a gasket from laughing so friggin' hard is as fake as Faux News can get. And why do they always try to make it appear that their guests are in a different state? We know that background is phony. Ugh, wake me when something hilarious begins in that video.

Dennis Miller's eruditeness is just downright annoying; a good example of how people with big vocabularies can still say and think stupid things (Nattering nabobs of nega......although I think Burrows wrote that line). How can someone be so pedantic and such a joe-schmoe at the same time? What an idiot.

While he was on SNL, I thought that he was a coke-head; he was puffed-up, verbose and suffering from a bad case of the hots for himself.

hmmmm...Dennis Miller has become rather a sad person. I didn't think he was still around. Rather pathetic, if not embarrassing, to watch.

Why does anybody even listen to him? He's a d o u c h e bag! And even when he's not being overtly insulting, he isn't saying anything insightful. I guess Orally thinks he's "cool." What a sycophant!

Wow, Dennis Miller turned out to be a total jerk. Not that he was all that promising so many years ago, but what a disappointment.

Wow, kind of disconcerting to see a man I once considered intelligent and occasionally witty, reveal himself to be so desperate and his own worst career enemy. It sort of began with his embarrassing movie screen choices (Bordello of Blood, Joe Dirt), continued with his desperate attempts to stay pertinent by taking on Monday Night Football, really commenced circling the drain when he thought he saw the future in George Bush and abandoned his traditional fans for the snarky, neo-con Right, and finally devolved to a hate-filled career on talk radio and a crowning appearance on Bill O'Reilly. Now his persona has such a stench that I feel like saying, as he did when riding in a French cab, "Hey Pepe, her's an extra fiver if you run over that skunk."

I've always found Dennis Miller to be a smart ass..and not really funny. If he can support Bush's disasterous policies..he must be very ill informed or just not give a s--t. The middle class and our economy have been screwed over royally. And Bush / Cheney deserve a lot of the blame..not all.
but a good part.

Remember when Miller was actually funny? Now he hangs with the likes of Bubba O'Reilly. Looks like a good match these days.
