Palin

In an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer, Sarah Palin says she's ready to work with President Barack Obama -- but she just can't let Bill Ayers go. From the transcript:

PALIN: It would be my honor to assist and support our new president and the new administration, yes. And I speak for other Republicans, other Republican governors also, they being willing also to, again, seize this opportunity that we have to progress this nation together, a united front.

BLITZER: Because, you know, during a campaign, every presidential campaign, things are said, it's tough, as you well know, it gets sometimes pretty fierce out there. And during the campaign, you said this, you said: "This is not a man who sees America as you see it and how I see America."

And then you went on to say: "Someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect that he is palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

PALIN: Well, I still am concerned about that association with Bill Ayers. And if anybody still wants to talk about it, I will, because this is an unrepentant domestic terrorist who had campaigned to blow up, to destroy our Pentagon and our U.S. Capitol. That's an association that still bothers me.

And I think it's still fair to talk about it. However the campaign is over. That chapter is closed. Now is the time to move on and to, again, make sure that all of us are doing all that we can to progress this nation.

Keep us secure, get the economy back on the right track, and many of us do have some ideas on how to do that and hopefully we'll be able to put all of that wisdom and experience to good use together.

BLITZER: So looking back, you don't regret that tough language during the campaign?

PALIN: No, and I do not think that it is off-base nor mean-spirited, nor negative campaigning to call someone out on their associations and on their record. And that's why I did it.

BLITZER: I just want to sort of footnote, was that your idea or did somebody write those lines for you?

PALIN: It was a collaborative effort there in deciding how do we start bringing up some of the associations that perhaps would be impacting on an administration, on the future of America. But again, though, Wolf, knowing that it really -- at this point, I don't want to point fingers backwards and play the blame game, certainly, on anything that took place in terms of strategy or messaging in the campaign.

Now is the time to move forward together, start progressing America.

Note to Bible Barbie/Sarah Palin

In the Wolf Blitzer interview yesterday you AGAIN brought up William Ayers and talking about him "paling around with".

Please look in a Mirror. I'm sure you do that a LOT.
You are up there in Alaska 'paling around with' a CONVICTED FELON, Senator Stevens who is part of your own Party. Those of us in the 'good part of America'... us REAL Americans must ask this question.

When YOUR State Senator and YOU get together.... WHAT do you talk about? Us REAL Americans really want to know. Is he giving you 'tips' on how to get ahead in political office.... the way he did?
(Getting freebies and gifts from contractors)

Do You 'pal around with' and take advice from CONVICTED Felons..?
The 'Media' wants to know your answer.

If Blitzer had some "balls" he would ask her to explain why she thought it was alright to greet McCain's top advisers in a bath towel and why she thinks it's okay to be a member of the AIP and most of all why is it okay to incite hateful violence in her audiences that threaten our future president. If anything happens to Obama, Palin will be questioned first!!!! And those nutjobs in her audience who threatened Obama! IT's a federal offense to threaten such a high official. Maybe it was Hannity or Limbaugh who was screaming in the audience!

The news media should be ashamed wasting valuable air-time to Sarah Palin! She lost and should go back to Alaska. By the way, who is running Alaska? It can't be Palin she stays in the lower 48 more than she does her own state. When John McCain picked Palin as his running mate he insulted the American public and now the news media insults our intelligence by give Palin notice and air-time.

And another thing. Who is governing Alaska while this so-called governor is constantly in front of the camera talking nonsense just for free press? She still thinks the campaign is going on. Someone needs to remind her the election is over, shut the F up and go back to governing your moose and sled dogs or whatever there is to govern in Alaska.

I believe that the media is still handling Palin with kid gloves just for the chance to get that rare and much coveted "exclusive" interview with her. The questions are easy and her meandering answers (and sometimes outright lies) are never followed up with more probing questions. However, the more she makes herself available, the less interest the viewers will show in watching her ridiculous answers. It would follow, then, that the MSM will start to press her for actual answers to tough questions. It is not that they like her or respect her, they are just afraid that she will run into a hole if they get too aggressive with her. When they stop caring if she runs into a hole, watch out Palin. Things might get ugly.

Governor Palin is not qualified to be President. I think by 2012 other more qualified Republicans will edge her out of any chance of being a candidate for President. The American public didn't buy the gulit by association with William Ayers in 2008 and they won't in 2012. The Republican Party will be in disarray for another decade. The issue with the Republican Party is that they don't care about America, just the Republican agenda for the rich, Washington D.C. elitists, and Wall Street. America is well educated! We see the results of letting the Republicans have their way.

By 2012, most of Piper's classmates, save for the age requirement, will be more qualified than Governor Palin. Can't say for sure about Piper - I suspect her worldview will be somewhat skewed by her mother. And besides, she sleeps under the same roof as a known secessionist.

I agree with you 100%! The news media is making this woman "newsworthy" and should ignore her the way they ignored 3rd party candidates in the presidential campaigns. Everytime I see her speaking I scan to another channel quickly or turn the television off all together. I was hoping not to hear or see anything about her again after the campaign but the news media is allowing her free air time. Why, I don't know.

The election is over and she lost. Please stop covering a person who cannot construct and deliver a coherent sentence. Our children need better models.

Since entering the public spotlight, this woman hasn't been off-camera long enough

to take a dump. When does she plan on getting her a ss back to work- to continue to

rack up some more dazzling achievements in her salaried position as Gov. of Alaska.

All she does is TALK-TALK-TALK about nothing and then does nothing. I suppose it all

adds up to the fact that she is NOTHING. Get off the media gravy-train, honey and

GET TO WORK doing whatever it is you claim to do so illustriously. And, stop acting

as if you were some kind of lottery winner.
