Hilary Duff To Star In NBC Show

Hilary Duff is returning to TV, signing a pact with NBC to star in a new series.

Under terms of the one-year talent and development deal, Peacock will develop a show starring Duff; thesp will also be tapped to guest star in various current NBC shows.

The Duff series would be produced by Universal Media Studios. Deal was announced by NBC Entertainment/ Universal Media Studios co-chairman Ben Silverman.

Duff will meet with writers and comb through the Peacock's development for the right project to star in.

Hillary was on the View a couple of weeks ago and sung a song from her latest CD and since I enjoyed what I heard and Whoopi Goldberg highly recommended it, I purchased her CD and I've played it every day since. The music is kinda of bluesy and rocky and I like it (coming from a Black woman raised on R&B, that's no small thing). I don't know if I wil like her acting but her CD is great..

I used to love watching Lizzie McGuire with my daughter. I hope that whatever the new show is, it's something more like that, and that NBC gets Hillary to put on some weight and regain her wholesome appearance rather than this too-thin Hollywood look she has now. Remember her in Cheaper By The Dozen? She was gorgeous! The photo above just proves how fame has poorly affected her.

This should be interesting as her "huge following" are now older teenagers and not likely to watch her on TV as they don't watch a lot of the tube. They grew out of her within the last few years.

AND she holds no interest for younger tweeners because they now worship MILEY (It's MILEY!) ICarly (Miranda Cosgrove), and Wizards Of Waverly Place (Selena Gomez) and Hillary Duff is now...."who?".

And I can't see any adults showing any interest in her at all as she is still trying to appeal to that younger demographic, which does NOT watch NBC but rather, Disney and Nick.

Should be quite a wake up call but who know.....
