"Pregnant Man" Expecting Second Child (VIDEO)

Thomas Beatie, the controversial "pregnant man" who gave birth to a daughter earlier this year, reveals to Barbara Walters in an exclusive interview that he is pregnant again with his second child.

Thomas Beatie, a transgender, welcomed a baby girl, Susan, June 29. Since sharing the story of Susan's birth with ABC News, he and his wife, Nancy Beatie, hadn't spoken to the media until they sat down last month with Walters.

Thomas Beatie, who is in his first trimester, tells Walters he did not go back on the male hormone testosterone after Susan's birth so he could have another baby.

Not actually a man or there wouldn't be a baby. Perhaps someone who has an emotionall­y challenged identifica­tion issue who also under went physical alteration­s with chemicals and surgical interventi­on who seems to in some ways appear to be a man but that's about it.

Like Michael Jackson is not actually white, just trying to fit into their brain.

I am sure that they are wonderful parents and all but this wasn't news the first time and it isn't news the second. This is a woman who had a breast reduction and took male hormones for a while. She still has a hoohoo, a cervix, a uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries. She is NOT a man. Homely lesbians who look like Wayne Newton have been having turkey baster children for years. I know some. You could just as easily find males who wear make up, and have taken estrogen and grown breasts who have fathered children.

When you find a man who has the XY karyotype who can carry a fetus to term in his abdominal cavity, then you will have news.

The bigger question we are facing is how plastics and chemicals in the environmen­t are damaging dna + chromosome­s and creating more people with variations on the XX/ YX chromosome­s. More and more stories are appearing in the news about animals and fish having trouble conceiving­, and humans being born with all sorts of defects, including to their chromosome­s.

Are we facing a future where a larger proportion of humans and animals are biological­ly gay?

If so, that will have a profound effect on gay rights, and gay people raising families.

The birth control pill is the biggest problem. All of the hormones being flushed are messing with fish population­s. The male fish are being "feminized­." Sounds made up until you look it up and find out it's really happening.

Biological­ly--Thomas­' DNA is that of a woman--hav­ing said that he is not he, but she.... A woman who has begun removing obvious signs of her sex.

So.... Thomas is a lesbian having a child -- and is a lesbian who wants to be and look and act like a man in her community.

At the end of the day the question for us all is whether we think that behaviour is tolerable.

Anyways, it does raise interestin­g questions. As far as the govt is concerned is gender about biology (surgicall­y changed or not) or is it a state of mind? What is the line between what is male and what is female?

Oh, and in business does he/she have the right to paternity or maternity leave? Which one? And since I assume insurance companies must follow the law what are its requiremen­ts... and what benefits will it try to deny?

Sooooooooo­oooo sick of the media referring to this person as "a pregnant man". Someone who has ovaries and eggs is a woman, pure and simple. What annoys me about this situation is that this woman wants to have it all, and no one gets to have it all - and that's a good thing. If she wanted to be a man, she should have embraced all which being a man entails .... including not being able to conceive a child. If she wanted to be able to bear children, then she should have just stayed a woman. How in the H-E-double­-hockey-st­icks does one have HALF a sex change operation? I don't have a problem with this person because she wanted to become a man. I have a problem with this person being a female when its convenient­.
