Palin

Sarah Palin said today that she doesn't want to comment on the strategy behind the McCain/Palin campaign now that it's over, which is too bad, because that's basically the only thing (besides her aspirations for 2012, and snow machines) that anyone wants to talk to her about. BUT! That doesn't mean she's ready to give up on the stock stump speech she gave over and over again on the trail, though, apparently to the utter bafflement of reporters who are, by now, really bored to tears with the travails of Tito The Builder.

Jonathan Capehart told MSNBC's David Shuster, "I watched her entire speech, and I had to remind myself that the election was a week ago, and this was not a McCain/Palin rally." Is that crazy white-haired lady who thought Obama was "an Arab" a Republican Governor? Probably! "Everything you heard at a McCain/Palin rally since she was selected as the Vice Presidential nominee since September, and even down to the same rhetoric was in that speech," said Capehart.

Jonathan Martin added that Palin's speech was "perplexing" and "jarring," which are the two nicest things ever said about a Palin speech. He added that he wasn't "sure if she wanted to, you know, re-litigate the past campaign or look forward and diagnose where the party should go from here. And it was sort of a little bit of both, but also neither."

Capehart added, "She needs to stop." And, according to David Shuster, 52% of people polled agree that it's time for Sarah Palin to go home. By contrast, 45% say they can't get enough of her. Funny how those numbers seem to correspond with another large accounting of the American electorate that was recently taken!

It's called lack of Reality and Education.

She is definitely not the "Education" governor, but if I had as many children as she does and had the influence to improve education, I would take that opportunity. Why do you think, she doesn't? I know that there are many states in the lower 48, that have even worse records on education, but now that she has put herself out there, we all knew after the election Alaska would get more scrunity. Take a gander at these numbers and keep your eyes peeled on ADN, they really don't play:

Let's see, she's been governor for 2 years, right? Give her a chance, just like all the libs are doing for BO....she'll take care of business in Alaska.

How could you possibly put Palin and Obama in the same sentence. Palin pales in comparison. He is so far above her it's laughable.

Yup... We've been reading about her way of taking care of business... sounds kind of shady...

WHAT A DIFFERENCE to blah blah incoherent Moose Palin

As if none of Sarah's appearances weren't "staged." When she wasn't staged and her speeches weren't scripted for her she came across as the total airhead she is. This country should not be wasting time on a ditzy character forever to be known as McCain's albatross..

I hope she sticks around, she is the best thing that ever happend to the left of center. She is a walking talking joke machine that makes the right look shallow and uniformed. She magnifies the most negative qualities of the Republican party. Come back in 2012 Sarah, come back!!

But why aren't you worshipping Palin? Didn't you hear, they plan on remaking her and getting her an education. She is going to be a force to be dealt with, don't you forget it. Just like the big donors got her all those pretty clothes, they will also get her up to speed and teach her to talk. You just wait, you're gonna be really sorry. She hasn't done it yet, but she will, the Big Republican Donors will make sure, you just watch and see, my daddy told me and I believe him. You better watch it. Maybe my big brother will beat you up too after school.

I think they may focus their attention on potential candidates that already have the education and skills. I believe only the core repubs are in love with her and they will vote republican regardless. I may be giving to much credit to the Repubs, but surely they won't waste their time, money and energy on such a nitwit.

I would like to saysomething about thye media coverage of Sarah Palin. First , if the news media would ignore her like she should be ignored, then she will just wither up and go away. You are making too much of an issue about her and giving her the opportunity to keep her face in the public eye. We all know she is an idiot not it is time to let her be an idiot in Alaska. I, personally, am tired of hearing about her. She is of no interest to me. If you kleep giving her this free publicity, she is going to end up running for the Senate and winning. At least, make her pay for her free advertising. Also, who cares what is next for Palin?

As of 7:00 pm Sunday, there is a total of 75 pages of comments on this article...it seems that the libs will not let Sarah Palin go....they are not only intimidated and jealous of her and her family, they are extremely obsessed with her.

I think that 75 pages of comments pretty much says it all. Libs keep saying they want her to just go away, but they can't stop talking about her.....this is obsession, pure and simple.

Help me understand here, intimidated by an ignorant, unqualified candidate, and jealous of the side that lost? What alternative universe are you broadcasting from?

Just because the psuedo-intellectual liberals say she's ignorant, unqualified, etc..doesn't make it so...this is the libs M.O., and they are good at it. They constantly try to discredit their opponents, and usually they suceed ...but this time they won't...Sarah is tough enough to take the slanderous comments about her. I think the libs are showing their true colors by continuing to bash her.

So, this is why the libs are intimidated by Sarah Palin...the fact that they constantly bash a GOOD w oman shows they are, and the fact that there are over 75 pages bashing her is also proof.....when the Republicans bashed BO, the libs said the same thing about us...it works both ways, sweetie...get over it!!! hahahaha

I don't want to judge here, but I saw her interview with Blitzer and when talking about her son going into Iraq she seemed to be piggy-backing her talking points to it. She is a really effective speaker, I think she has unusual charisma and it is not surprising she's gotten far, but at the end of the day there is no intelligence, wisdom and perhaps integrity behind her.

I do not doubt -for one minute- that she deeply loves her son, but to use his deployment and then jump into the talking points of her campaign left a bitter taste in my mouth. It didn't seem very real.

One of my friends who posts here sent this to me and I had to pass it along: “Quotable: Sarah Palin's Top 10 Bloopers”; it's from a website called http://politicalnewsconnection.com/ . It capt ures her so perfectly. I’m still laughing!

There must be some people in her life that tell her she's only making a fool of herself. Then again she might just be surrounded by those who see her as being just great. At this point it's kind of looking at a drunk who has no idea what an ass he or she is making of themselves. The worse part is that somewhere along the line she has to be looking at these interviews and speeches and still doesn't see how foolish she appears

The 2012 candidate is alrady being referred to as a sacrificial lamb. Palin would love to be considered along with biblical references. And I would love to see her run. Tina Fey was hilarious!

She is incoherent and an all out joke at this point. She may be good for tv-host, but she has NO BUSINESS in a leadership role.

The Sarah Palin phenomenon is the answer to the age old question, "What would the world be like if the prom queen from my high school was making a serious run for the highest office of the land." Surreal!
