Palin

Sarah Palin said today that she doesn't want to comment on the strategy behind the McCain/Palin campaign now that it's over, which is too bad, because that's basically the only thing (besides her aspirations for 2012, and snow machines) that anyone wants to talk to her about. BUT! That doesn't mean she's ready to give up on the stock stump speech she gave over and over again on the trail, though, apparently to the utter bafflement of reporters who are, by now, really bored to tears with the travails of Tito The Builder.

Jonathan Capehart told MSNBC's David Shuster, "I watched her entire speech, and I had to remind myself that the election was a week ago, and this was not a McCain/Palin rally." Is that crazy white-haired lady who thought Obama was "an Arab" a Republican Governor? Probably! "Everything you heard at a McCain/Palin rally since she was selected as the Vice Presidential nominee since September, and even down to the same rhetoric was in that speech," said Capehart.

Jonathan Martin added that Palin's speech was "perplexing" and "jarring," which are the two nicest things ever said about a Palin speech. He added that he wasn't "sure if she wanted to, you know, re-litigate the past campaign or look forward and diagnose where the party should go from here. And it was sort of a little bit of both, but also neither."

Capehart added, "She needs to stop." And, according to David Shuster, 52% of people polled agree that it's time for Sarah Palin to go home. By contrast, 45% say they can't get enough of her. Funny how those numbers seem to correspond with another large accounting of the American electorate that was recently taken!

American's should expect TRUTH in NEWS, not just pundits spewing propaganda. If Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity can have hours per day on the PUBLIC airwaves to lie and distort the TRUTH, then an opposing view point must be heard.

Polls show that a great many people believe that Iraq attacked America on 9/11, that Obama was a Muslim who "pals around with terrorists", that torture works... I could go on. Does America have a chance when so many are so ignorant of the facts? Those wingnut talking heads are not not serving democracy, just themselves.

Waaaah! Waaaaaaaah! Waaaaah!

You republicans are projecting again. It's your idiot pundits that can't win a logical argument and end up shouting down their guests, cutting them short, or never having them on at all.

Go ahead, keep watching FOX News. It's geared specifically towards uneducated, uninquisitive morons like yourself. So, go ahead, sidle up to the trough and eat your fill of their BS. Just don't come around here and cry your little eyes out because you're jealous that there is an actual forum here in which people can express their beliefs without being shouted down by Hannity, Limbaugh and O'Reilly.

I'm not really the gloating type, but when I see posts from idiots like you, I just have to ask. . . how did it feel to have your party BLOWN OUT in this election? McCain lost by more than a 2 to 1 electoral vote margin, and your Neo-Nazi party. . . err Neo-Con (not much difference really) lost a bunch of seats in Congress too. LMFAO@U!!!

Cheney and Bush were good at that same tactic. I would defend your right to say anything peggy. You're just upset because no one is agreeing with you. You can say what you want... but just be prepared for responses... that's all.

I'll give her two more years; by then she'll be over-exposed. Right now, she ups the ratings because folks are merely curious as to what she might REALLY say without the script. From what I'm hearing... she's still 'in script'. The woman is clinging to straws in hope she can turn the spotlight on herself once again. The White House wedding she had hoped for isn't going to happen... get the girl married already!!

It gets boring eventually.

She was at the Republican Governor's convention!!!! What did they expect? And it says "the reporter 's are baffled and bored to tears".....WHO CARES WHAT THE LIBERAL LEFT-WING REPORTERS THINK? I don't, and I am positive that the republican governors do not give two hoots and a holler about them, either!!!

That might be why the Republicans are losing race after race because as you say, they just don't care.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 02:25 PM on 11/15/2008

haha is that why they all looked so enthused to be standing behind her listening to her garbage? There are several far more qualified republican governors that should take the lead and she is definitely not one of them. And if you have noticed, the "left wing" is pretty much the consensus right now, I don't think its a viable buzz word to invoke trepidation any longer.

The government may be liberal left-winged, but the country is only 52%,,.which means the other 48% DID NOT vote for BO...they voted for SARH PALIN.....

And the governors of America asked her to speak, along with Governor Gendall of Louisiana and a few others, I think Charlie Christte (sp) of florida also spoke....

Palin is too dim to realize whay happened Nov 4, or why her side lost.

Bill Moyers said it best during his Nov 5 2008 interview w/ Terry Gross, on Fresh Air, when he summed up the corrosive cynicism of the Republican-branded right:

"...people who don't believe in government are likely to defile government."

Link:
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=96648963

The last thing this country (or the world, for that matter) needs, is: any more administrations like Bush's one of "incompetence, cronyism, and corruption." (same interview.)

THAT is what the voters rejected on Nov. 4, 2008: Republican governmental sabotage, via incompetence, cronyism, and corruption.

Until conservatives get that message and prune their own philosophies and actions accordingly, they will continue weakly wandering in the political desert; in the meantime, they are unable to damage the world much further.

Notice it is all BS from her ..she tried everything ...How she used to wink during the election...that wink is gone now so it was all intentional ... She has very shallow knoweldge of affairs & she tries to wing it as it comes ...just like other Reugs mix up GOD all in his hands & whatever people want me to do etc ...just look at what she said during speeches ...hateful stuff...she is dangerous ..

On a superficial tip:

Does anyone else feel like the absence of Palin's professional hair and make-up team is pretty evident?

No, actually, she is a very natural, good looking woman....she doesn't need the make-up and hair people, but I know a bunch of LIBS who could use a make-over, and FAST!!!

And there's a whole bunch of Republicans that could use a college education :o)

Sarah is an attractive woman, with great skin. But the loss of the highly paid make-up and hair squad is evident. But, to be fair, is there a woman alive who WOULDN'T look better with this kind of team?

At the end of the day, pretty wasn't (and never will be) enough. We're trying to elect world leaders, not pageant winners.

Natural? Are you blind? Girlfriend wears about $6.00 worth of makeup on each eye, even without the makeup artists. First time I saw her, my impression was "Mille, the dignbat receptionist" (no offense meant to Millies, dingbats or receptionsits). Turns out I was right.

Hey, I just learned that you can get this makeup that stretches your skin to make the wrinkles go. I'm the same age as Hilary, and Iwant some of what she's using.

You are such a hoot peggy... No one would disagree with you about her looks. And most of us could use a make over... I actually agree with something you've stated. Palin is very pretty. That's why they picked her... "She looked good". They didn't look beyond the surface when they chose her... it cost them the election.

Imagine.

Try to imagine McCain winning the election.

Imagine his victory speech.

Imagine the reaction around the world.

Imagine McCain gathering his team together.

Imagine Rudy Giuliani.

Imagine Queen Cindy in the White House.

Imagine the Wasilla Hillbillies taking over the Naval Observatory Residence.

Imagine you are not shuddering right now.

After the election, the Obama family made it a priority to return their children to as normal a routine as possible, yet Sarah Palin seems to be basking in the rays of her own 15 minutes of fame. A true soccer mom certainly would not do this, especially given that her youngest child has developmental issues and her teenage child is pregnant.

Interesting that she bears no public ill will against McCain, but what she fails to understand is that his staffers are doing his fighting for him. And everytime she opens her mouth to speak, she confirms the general consensus that she is hopelessly unfit for the nation's highest office.

Reflection on an election is a good thing, but in this case, it should take place in private and behind closed doors, because she represents what divides America. Don't go away mad Sarah, just go away!!!!

People want to see Palin for the same reason they go to the auto races. They want to see a wreck.

The more Republicans are in denial of what an incompetent buffoon is, the more power they'll lose in the years to come.

So please keep remaining in denial. You're only helping the Democrats.

The Republican pundits continue to put forward the notion that, Sarah Palin really energized the party and helped McCain's candidacy--UNTIL the economy went into the dumper. They conveniently neglect to mention that Sarah's interview with Charlie Gibson was on Sept. 11, and the Katie Couric interview was Sept. 24th. Sarah's negatives started to go way up after those interviews. During this exact time frame, the economy began to tank . (And McCain's own crazy response to the crisis left people scratching their heads.)

It's plausible that if not for the dire economic news taking the spotlight off of her that her negatives would have gone even higher! Yes, she helped energize the party base and intrigued some of the independents for about two weeks, and after those two interviews she lost the independents that the Republic party needed to win. For the uneducated, white, old working class rural vote (a demographically shrinking group) Sarah is the answer. For everyone else, well, we'll just have to get back to ya!
