"Joe The Plumber" Book Deal Details Emerge

In a somewhat predictable move, Joe The Plumber, aka Samuel Wurzelbacher, has signed a book deal. Joe told Fox News that he was "broke," but still took time in considering his publishing house because he wanted to spread the wealth around.

"Everyone came at me to write a book. They had dollar signs in their eyes. '101 Things Joe the Plumber Knows' or some stupid s--- like that. Excuse me, I am sorry," he said. "You know I will get behind something solid, but I won't get behind fluff. I won't cash in, and when people do read the book they will figure out that I didn't cash in. At least I hope they figure that out."

The book, called "Joe the Plumber -- Fighting for the American Dream," is to be released by a group called PearlGate Publishing and other small publishing houses.

"I am not going to a conglomerate that way we actually can get the economy jump started. Like there is five publishing companies in Michigan. There's a couple down in Texas. They are small ones that can handle like 10 or 15,000 copies. I can go to a big one that could handle a million or two. But they don't need the help. They are already rich. So that's spreading the wealth to me," he said.

CJR has reported several new details on the book today. Titled "Joe the Plumber: Fighting for the American Dream," it's slated to be released on December 1st of this year and will be co-written with a novelist named Thomas Tabback.

Postscript. Just to set the historical record straight, would someone please confirm: Obama didn't seek this guy out. My understanding is Joe heard that Obama in was in the neighborhood and went down the street to confront him.

So many sources have described this first encounter as one where Obama knocked on Joe's door.

If you watch the video of Obama talking to Joe (or whatever his name is), you'll see Obama was in the street surrounded by people and sneaky Joe wormed his way up to Obama. I would have thought the Secret Service wouldn't have let this skinhead get within a block of Obama.

Joe, himself, said Obama came into his neighborhood while he was outside playing catch with his son. He said he heard his neighbors asking Obama all of these "softball" questions, so Joe decided to go ask him some tough questions. And, we all know what happened afterwards.

This is so insane. I swear this guy was a GOP plant, just baiting O. Now for O, his only gaffe was the "spreading the wealth" comment, but isn't that what government entitlement programs do like social security, unemployment, etc?
I don't have a problem with a guy making a buck, or seizing an opportunity at all. That is why the US is so great. We have the FREEDOM to do just that.
BUT, he's been proven to be a liar, has no concept of government and how it's run. If he had a clue, I wouldn't have an issue with this, but he clearly does not.
This guy might at one time represented America, but not anymore.

This guy is a total fraud. I would be willing to bet if you could dig deep enough you would find him on the RNC payroll. The book is to be released December 1...how long did that give ole Joe to write it with his "novelist" co-author? A seasoned writer would be pressed to turn out a book of any quality in that amount of time. I am sure two versions have been ready for months...o­ne if McC lost and one if he won.
