Plumber

In a somewhat predictable move, Joe The Plumber, aka Samuel Wurzelbacher, has signed a book deal. Joe told Fox News that he was "broke," but still took time in considering his publishing house because he wanted to spread the wealth around.

"Everyone came at me to write a book. They had dollar signs in their eyes. '101 Things Joe the Plumber Knows' or some stupid s--- like that. Excuse me, I am sorry," he said. "You know I will get behind something solid, but I won't get behind fluff. I won't cash in, and when people do read the book they will figure out that I didn't cash in. At least I hope they figure that out."

The book, called "Joe the Plumber -- Fighting for the American Dream," is to be released by a group called PearlGate Publishing and other small publishing houses.

"I am not going to a conglomerate that way we actually can get the economy jump started. Like there is five publishing companies in Michigan. There's a couple down in Texas. They are small ones that can handle like 10 or 15,000 copies. I can go to a big one that could handle a million or two. But they don't need the help. They are already rich. So that's spreading the wealth to me," he said.

CJR has reported several new details on the book today. Titled "Joe the Plumber: Fighting for the American Dream," it's slated to be released on December 1st of this year and will be co-written with a novelist named Thomas Tabback.

Alan Colmes pointed out once that he was on welfare. I don't know if he told but someone mentioned he was on it twice. LOL. It was great seeing Alan get the guy because usually Alan doesn't so it catches people off guard I think.

You mean Alan got that news. Oh, I know why, Hannity didn't want to admit he actually met a Republican moocher.

NoBull- Questions remain whether the book will be written by pen or on a typewriter

About the Author
Thomas Tabback was born in North Carolina while his father was stationed with the Army at Fort Bragg. Later, his parents moved to Arizona where he grew up and discovered his passion for writing at an early age. When he was 12, he wrote his first short story and never put down the pen.

More likely it will be in the Children's section with pop ups of Palin, McCain and Limbaugh.

How about a book about Ann Nixon Cooper who is more compelling than this guy. From Obama's acceptance speech in Grant Park I would like to know more of this woman in her 90's. She probably has more wisdom to share. Of course that may be difficult since she seems humble and has her values in check unlike Joe. History books will emphasize Mrs. Cooper and not this man.

The Wit and Wisdom of Joe the Plumber. I'll bet Gore Vidal is worried about his position being taken atop the Best Seller's List.

Sarah Palin should add this one to her ban and burn list.

Are you kidding? The "Book of Lies" will be among her prized possessions. It may shed more light upon her ego or add more glitter to her crown.

Joe The Multi Tasking Dreamer

Let's get this nailed down around here.
Joe is going with a 'publisher' who has self published one book. The publishers single book is not a million seller, but numbers still matter. His debut effort today ranks #985,867 on Amazon Books. In other words, Joe has a 'ghost' writer...not a publisher

PealGate Publishing is owned by a writer. Publisher/ writer Tom Tabback must have traveled from Austin TX to meet Joe, as he caught up with him near Philadelphia. Tom speaks of landing his first big fish 'client.' This bi-polar rags to dream story gets comical...
From a blog in Philly:
“I told him I’m thinking about a book on American values, but it has to be what you want it to be,” Tabback said.

“It’s really something that someone with his celebrity would pass up New York money to give me, a small businessman, an opportunity,” Tabback said, as Joe the Plumber slipped outside for a smoke, and to sign autographs and pose for pictures with his South Philly fans.

Joe...the American Dreamer. First it's owning a plumbing business, but with no capital. Now it's a book. Joe even spoke of running for office. He's considering a music career. Joe doesn't need a job, he needs medicine

One mans dream is another psychiatrists nightmare

I thought he also has said he's working on a country music cd deal? So how can he write books and do a cd at the same time?

But I think thems bigger publishers can do a more better job with the pop-up pix, don't you? You'll need them Joe since any book saying how you'd accomplish the American Dream will be only a couple of pages of text long. And now by turning down the opportunity to cash in on your 15 seconds of fame you've prove that you not only don't know anything about public affairs, politics, and the economy, but you are a really lousy businessman too!

If it's written by Thomas Tabback it should be....interesting. Tabback has only written one other book, 'Things Forgotten', which came out in August 2008. Here's Amazon's synopsis:

After a traumatic experience, Bronx Police Officer Paul Kelly awakens in a hospital with no memory. His life and loved ones are all lost to him, but a specter from the past awakens him to an identity more than 3200 years ago. In a time when the heavens still touched the earth and man witnessed the might of God with plain eyes, there lived Nahar, son of Nahath, son of Reuel. Through Nahar's eyes, Paul is about to recall events that would forever change the world, for he dwelt in the Jordan Valley of Canaan, as a chosen people prepared to cross the river into their Promised Land.
Prepare for an incredible journey as Nahar sweeps you into the historical events of the Israelite Conquest of Canaan, and discover the mystery of Nahar s connection with Paul.

Bible-licious excitement!!

His taxes are going to go up. He should have kept his mouth shut now he will make over $250K and be taxed at a higher rate. Hahaha Just like his new rich Repub friends.

That's funny momwith4girlz but no way is he going to make 250K.He would make more at a carnival having pies thrown at his face than he's going to make with this book.

It's true- Joe the Plumber can't read, his people can't read, and Palin doesn't. What next- Paris Hilton's Analysis of the Constitution? Actually, she's a more credible intellect than Joe and Palin.

What a fraud. I hope I'm around to see his karma for all his lying. Didn't the media report he's not even registered to vote? So if that's true why listen to someone who doesn't even vote? I can understand journalists like Olbermann because of their job but Joe the "Plumber" isn't even in that type of position. What a doofus.
