Potential Palin Rival: "Let Her Be The Sacrificial Lamb For 2012"

"Fine with us. Let her be the sacrificial lamb for 2012."

Which means: a lot of the folks who you'd think are angling to run in 2012 are certainly preparing to do so, but they're looking to and thinking about 2016....

It will strengthen the sane centrist repubs against the radically right evangelical element. Good, let the wacko talking in tongues mob be further stained and made irrelevant by Palin.
There are young moderate and thoughtful repubs who will blow her out of the water, even if she bones up on political science and current affairs.
She just isn't presidential material.

Besides, Obama will likely win a second term.

I'm no fan of the GOP but the best thing that could happen to them as a political party would be for Palin to form a third party of low/no info and single issue fundie "values" voters and skulk off into the Alaskan wilderness. Then, perhaps, the GOP would be able to "right its ship" and re-emerge as a party with real values and ideas intended to improve the nation. If we are going to be saddled with a two party system (at least for the foreseeable future) I'd like to be able to seriously consider both party's ideas, something that cannot be done with GOP these days.

The sad part is that Republicans actually think of her as a leader. she was picked to counter the star quality of Obama, but they didn't realize that she didn't even know basic 3rd grade social studies. I think Sarah needs to leave her children at home when she campaigns. Her daughter said she missed a lot of school. She needs to have at least one of her kids graduate from HS.

Sarah can run for the Real American Party in 2012 and leave the Republicans to run someone with at least a little competence and chance of faring well against Obama. Though, they're still unlikely to beat him unless he royally screws up or congress does and people blame the administration incorrectly. And I just don't see either happening, unless Republicans try to sabotage things and voters are conned into thinking (as usual) "it's all the Democrats fault". I'm hoping people are a bit smarter after a few years of things going right for once, though.

right wing whackos need their own party...they are only good for each other. america needs to move beyond their racism, anti intellectualism, shoving religion( and that would be their creepy version ) down everyone's throat, committing blasphemy against others and their religions, and hypocrisy. we don't need them...take rush and sarah and her "prayer warriors" and go into the sunset. let the republicans regroup. in the meantime keep them all out of power for another generation or two! that's how long it might take to recover from the crap they did to the country.

The more Palin talks, the more people get turned off by her, so I say let her talk. If she decides to run in 2012 and wins the nomination, it will show that the Republicans know they cannot win. Whoever the Republicans put up in 2012 will tell the American people of what their chances of winning are. Let Palin speak. She gives Keith O and Rachel M something to talk about.
