It looks like George W. Bush will not be stopping by Barack Obama's hometown later this week, after all.

City officials had been really, really, really hoping that the outgoing president would fly into the incoming president's city for the official dedication of O'Hare International Airport's new north runway on Thursday. But the White House hasn't yet said "yes" and, given security arrangements, that's an almost certain sign that the answer is "no."

Well, love him or hate him, the time is coming near to say goodbye to George W. Bush.
