E.D. Hill To Leave Fox News Channel

TV Newser has learned that Fox News anchor E.D. Hill is leaving the channel after her contract was not renewed:

TVNewser has learned veteran Fox News Channel anchor E.D. Hill will not be renewed when her current contract expires. Hill, who has been with Fox News for more than 10 years, will continue with the network for the next few months until her current deal expires.

SVP of Programming Bill Shine tells TVNewser that he "chose not to renew E.D.'s latest contract" but noted that "Hill has been a valued contributor to the success of FNC over the years, and we wish her all the best."

Hill gained notoriety several months ago when she referred to the "pound," "fist bump," or whatever you want to call the handshake that Barack Obama exchanged with his wife Michelle as a "terrorist fist jab."

When we heard the news about E.D. Hill's contract non-renewed, terrorists fist bumps all around.

A Walter Cronkite, she ain't. In fact, E.D. Hill isn't even a Jon Stewart. At least Stewart on the Comedy Channel doesn't pretend to be journalist.

Ms. Hill continually disgraced her profession. Of course, the mere fact she chose to work for the Fox Noise channel of all places goes a long way a toward proving she is not a real journalist. Journalists after all are supposed to have ethics and apparently the Fox on air "Talent" are not allowed to have that.

This woman has no friends of color if she had she woud know that the fist bump that was done was a sign of being together and has been used for years among blacks. Finally, Fox is doing a responsible thing? I pray they clean house before 2012. Their talking heads have assaulted the press and nearly destroyed Americans' chance to elect the one man that can lead us back to greatness. I am so proud of my fellow Americans who were able to see through the fog of lies that Fox covered the Obama's with daily. I followed Fox closely to see just how far they would go to gain favor with Karl Rove and his band of Republicans.

Fox is now using Hill in an effort to trick us into believing they have cleaned house. However, they have a long ways to go. We can send a message in the only way they understand-by letting our fingers do the walking away from their sponsors. Will someone please tell me how many times Karl Rove appeared on Fox within the last year? Why did huckabee get his own show after making jokes about Obama dodging assassins' bullets?

I find this person's comedic script appalling in times like these where to dow has dropped 444 points today. We need people who are passionate about what they report and at the least has the intelligence to comprehend the material they are reporting on, at least on a superficial level.

I feel that there was nothing unappropriate about E.D. Hill questioning the "Obama bump"..
That is/was her right to do so. Just like it was Michelle Obamas right to state that "for the 1st time in my life, I am proud of my country"
