E.D. Hill To Leave Fox News Channel

TV Newser has learned that Fox News anchor E.D. Hill is leaving the channel after her contract was not renewed:

TVNewser has learned veteran Fox News Channel anchor E.D. Hill will not be renewed when her current contract expires. Hill, who has been with Fox News for more than 10 years, will continue with the network for the next few months until her current deal expires.

SVP of Programming Bill Shine tells TVNewser that he "chose not to renew E.D.'s latest contract" but noted that "Hill has been a valued contributor to the success of FNC over the years, and we wish her all the best."

Hill gained notoriety several months ago when she referred to the "pound," "fist bump," or whatever you want to call the handshake that Barack Obama exchanged with his wife Michelle as a "terrorist fist jab."

This is just the nature of the beast. Dan Abrahms lost his time slot on MSNBC to make room for Rachel Maddow and Hill is being kicked to the curb for Glenn Beck. Huckabee is not long for the world of FOX and quite frankly I don't think that Glenn Beck will be either and I doubt he even last long enough to complete his first contract.

FOX is a damaged of a brand like the Republican Party and I'll tell you who is next on the chopping block will be Brian Kilmeade and Steve Doocey when they re-tool Fox&Freinds to a pair instead of a 3-some.

I had the misfortune of clicking on a news clip unaware it was a Fix News one. I watched, fascinated in dark sorta way as one of the other peroxide users on the show ( I don't keep up with the idiots on that station so I don't know their names) ripped into a woman who was answering her posed question of why people were so obsessed and fascinated with Obama to the point of selling collectibles.

When the woman tried to explain to the dimwit that this was historic presidency and people are enthused by the possibilities, she derisively replied, "But the man hasn't even taken office yet, how do they know what he will do....?"

I almost had a heart attack--FOX can speculate NEGATIVELY about how the USA is going to hell in a hand basket because of Obama but people can't say positive things or celebrate this president without escaping scathing commentary?

When the woman said that this is a honey moon period and that almost all presidents have one and that, under the circumstances, with this being historic its not surprising people are so fascinated the Fox Bimbo snorts derisively and says "I guess that's YOUR opinion."
