Focus On The Family Faces Massive Layoffs After Prop 8 Push

Focus on the Family is poised to announce major layoffs to its Colorado Springs-based ministry and media empire today. The cutbacks come just weeks after the group pumped more than half a million dollars into the successful effort to pass a gay-marriage ban in California.

Critics are holding up the layoffs, which come just two months after the organization's last round of dismissals, as a sad commentary on the true priorities of ministry.

Focus on the Family is one of those truly scary organizations in America, focused on minimizing women's rights and homophobic through and through. I hope that journalists coming up for air after the elections start looking at which organizations are pumping significant monies into defeating various state initiatives.

And the voting public needs to wake up to the fact that they are being 'seduced' by mega-dollars from organizations with agendas that are not transparent. It is not paranoid to want voters to understand the REAL issues they are voting for instead of the manufactured issues that organizations like Focus on the Family SAY they are.

I've been boycotting Domino's for years. Their owner is a huge Catholic who donates money to many anti-abortion groups.
I'm sure he's donated money to this hate campaign as well.
