Focus On The Family Faces Massive Layoffs After Prop 8 Push

Focus on the Family is poised to announce major layoffs to its Colorado Springs-based ministry and media empire today. The cutbacks come just weeks after the group pumped more than half a million dollars into the successful effort to pass a gay-marriage ban in California.

Critics are holding up the layoffs, which come just two months after the organization's last round of dismissals, as a sad commentary on the true priorities of ministry.

Let's be carful as to how we look at this. They have a right to believe the way they believe. To deprive them of this is hypocritical on the opposite side. I polled a lot of my democratic friends and they belive that marriage is between a man and a woman. Now, I also dont know why there are gay republicans? Since we know what the Repuplican platform stands for .

The problem here is that you have a society who belivees that the bedrock of our moral fiber is marriage that is between a man and a woman.

Why are we fussing about this ? the gay communtity spend the same amount or more to get their point of view on the table as well.

Actually that's not true. A disproportionate amount of money from conservative religious groups flooded the state - FROM OUT OF STATE - to affect the outcome of this bill. It was none of their business. But it doesn't matter - the courts WILL overturn it.
