Glenn Beck Accosted At Wendy's: "You Racist Bigot!"

Conservative personality Glenn Beck was accosted at his local Wendy's Saturday night, he said Monday on his radio show. In his attempt to procure a Frosty — "Everybody wants a Frosty," he said — he was stopped by a truck driver with food in his hair and called a "racist bigot."

"I wanted to say, I think you have me mistaken for someone else, but I knew he knew who I was and he just hated me for who I was," Beck said.

Beck's full Wendy's rant below:

It happened to me at Wendy's Saturday night. We are on the bus and we stop to get fuel and I said, I'm going to go in, I'm treating. Everybody wants a Frosty. I'm going to go get Frosties. And one of the security guys, said, No, you're not. I said, Yeah, I am. I mean, it's a truck stop. How much trouble am I going to get in in a truck stop? Everybody here you can trust. You're not going in. I went in, but I had to bring the swat team with me and so I'm just, I just want to Frosty, please, the guy standing next to me, who, by the way, I may point out. Had food in his hair, is a truck driver and he turned around. He looked at me and the recognition was immediate and he said, You racist bigot! And I just said -- I wanted to say, I think you have me mistaken for someone else, but I knew he knew who I was and he just hated me for who I was. You conservatives that have destroyed this country! And the hatred was so deep, it was breath taking. Luckily the swat team was there and I just separated myself from him and he just shouted through other people and there were children in the restaurant and he blamed me for everything, I believe including the Holocaust, and the hatred was palpable. The guy screamed at the restaurant, you better not let me see you in the parking lot because I've got a truck and I'll run your ass over! Wow. Is this who we've become? Is this who we've become?

The TV and radio personality recently signed a deal to jump to Fox News, where he will host the 5PM hour starting in spring 2009.

I listen to Glenn Beck almost daily. In my opinion, he is neither a racist nor a bigot. He does a great job of educating himself about the issues that he is passionate about. He was not a fan of John McCain or Barack Obama. He is pro-America and passionate about our future. You can read more about the man's views in his new book, "The Christmas Sweater".

Glenn Beck is very much a part of the right wing hate machine. He is just another iteration of O'Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh etc. This nation has been corrupted by the filth these people spew out on our public airwaves.

Also Beck constantly spews out right wing disinformation and misinformation. He is always shading the truth to fit his right wing views. All right wingers do that. It is a corollary too St. Reagan's 11th commandment. And now our nation is paying a deep price for their perfidy and iniquity. And the Iraqi people are paying an even deadlier price for the actions of people like Beck.

I'd like to commend that truck driver. He is probably trying to earn a living and feed his family. But thanks to the right wingers/co­nservative­s/repubs, he is failing at it, and he knows it.

This is just another manifestation of St. Reagans constant attack on unions, the middle class and the lower socioeconomic class. Repubs serve the wealthy and powerful, be they of the religious or the economic variety.

And my religion is one of those that is at the very core of those supporting the Republican hate machine and it's 'Culture of Death for Profits'. Greed and profit reign supreme. If one drills down deep enough this entire Republican disaster is really ALL about economics/wealth.

Beck would not eat somewhere where they don't serve booze.
substitute "Wendy's and frosty" with "Applebees and double scotch" and the story would have been slightly more believable

Glenn Beck deserved to be called a racist bigot. I applaud that man for speaking up.
