Sarah Palin's stylists sure had to work hard to drop $150,000 on dressing the former Republican V.P. candidate. Vanity Fair's fashion department took Sarah's budget and came up with a dream wardrobe that would fit the bill. (They threw in her husband Todd's $40,000 budget, too, just for good measure.) Even if Sarah was outfitted with a Valentino dress, an ostrich weekend bag and a croc handbag, a Patek Philippe watch, and an Hermès silk scarf, there would still be about $100,000 left over. And what about Todd's spending spree? That's equivalent to nearly six Ralph Lauren Purple Label suits. See, no matter how you slice it, it's not all that easy to spend that kind of cash!

I think most of you readers have missed the part about this being a "dream" wardrobe that was completely made up by Vanity Fair. We don't really know what they spent the money on, it could be even MORE ridiculous than this list. Too bad media can't get the actual itemized receipts. I sure wouldn't want any of these people to be MY personal shopper. I could have got enough clothes for my whole family and each of them a new vehicle to boot with that kind of money.

I am completely shocked by the lack of ability to comprehend what is read. OK people-this is NOT a real list of what was bought-repeat-NOT a real list. Read the article please. It is a HYPOTHETICAL list that some magazine came up with. The thing that really makes me laugh is the people who say the KNOW Sara Palin picked out these things. How do you know? Did you see her shopping for the stuff? Or did she call and tell you? Let's get on with real issues people.

The bra is something an anonymous Vanity Fair writer would buy if he or she had a large clothing budget.

Palin pleads that never asked for the clothes. That may be true but she never asked where did it come, how much they were and never turned anything down. She is not innocent in all of this

This is not the full list. They did not include what was bought for the children. The whole family received clothes and accessories. She lied and said she knew nothing about the clothes. Sarah and the whole family did the shopping. Just looking at that list, it is clear to me, she never intended to give those clothes back.

I can understand the fancy clothes for appearance purposes, but not the watch, the handbags, or the luggage. Those seem excessive and don't really serve any purpose. The only reason that someone has a $7,000 weekender bag or a $20,000 handbag or a $22,000 watch are for bragging purposes. Look at me I am rich....
