NEW YORK — Even a make-believe psychic couldn't spot the scam when an actor disrupted a scene for "Medium" involving Patricia Arquette, who stars as psychic Allison DuBois in the NBC drama.

After the unruly extra was ejected by security, the truth became clear: He was chameleonic comic prankster Sacha Baron Cohen in his identity as outrageous fashion reporter Bruno.

It was unclear how Cohen gained entry to the set, and whether he was secretly filming his performance for his own use, according to Entertainment Weekly's Web site, which first reported the incident on . But prior to the Nov. 7 invasion in Los Angeles, Cohen had been shooting other "crash" footage for his new film, a followup to his comedy hit "Borat." http://www.EW.com

Ali G: There has been enough sadness since the terrible events of 7-11.

Ali G: S e x. You has probably heard the word out there. And some of you probably know what it means. For those of you who don't, it means boning. But with boning comes responsi-lib-ity.

Borat was full of thinly disguised racism. I hope someone beats the crap out this clown.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 06:26 PM on 11/18/2008

You don't get it, it's called satire. He's Jewish, and Borat was about racism.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 06:43 PM on 11/18/2008

I do get it. His racism was directed towards everybody except the jews, who are the only people portrayed sympathetically in the movie.

I think the main character was meant to look vaguely Iranian. Dehumanizing the enemy? Easier to cluster bomb 'em.

How do you think the jewish community would react if he dressed up like an orthodox rabbi and acted in a disgusting and crudely stereotyped manner? Ya think that would be ok?

And another point - laughing at the poverty of very poor people is just reprehensible.

The guy is completely vile. In 30 or 40 years when people look back at these films they will wonder they were even tolerated, never mind praised. Look back at the Hollywood films of the 1930s that got cheap laughs from racial and ethnic stereotypes. Aren't we better than that now? Apparently not.

If you like Cohen, you'll probably enjoy Louis Theroux's documentaries.

Younger Americans, who have grown up on the toilet humour of Jim Carey and his ilk, have no understanding of real humour, let alone satire and irony- they all require the audience to THINK, which is the root of the problem. The purpose of Cohen's humour is just that, to make people think, to make them examine the status quo and the beliefs that they take for granted, to examine the reality behind the bs they are spoon fed by the corporate media of the US. You are supposed to feel uncomfortable, hopefully uncomfortable enough to change.

We need more anarchists like Sacha to make mainstream Americans "uncomfortable".

No one is doing what Cohen does.

Thank god.

Just kidding. I like Cohen. More power to him and his goofiness!

I think that the people who dislike Sacha are the ones who identify more with his victims' point of view. No one likes to be made a fool of in public, which is Sacha's specialty. He allows the bigoted and ignorant viewpoints to be revealed in all their glory.

I don't identify with desperately poor villagers in Romania, but I Do identify with a universal moral imperative of not mockering and deceiving those who a weaker, more vulnerable and naive. I don't care if some r*dn*ck who should know better, who has as much money as manure but does not use his/her resources to become a better person; if they are made fun of on account of their hubris, I don't have a problem with that.

But Cohen told those people - in what must be some of the bleakest countrysides in Europe, where until recently all one heard were harrowing stories of famine, destitution, ilnesses and orphanages bursting at the seams - that he was making a documentary about their village, their lives and their plight, and paid each US$ 3 to be available for the film. Many seem out of a Dostoesvky novel - that obvious coktail of a desolate existence, undernourishment and inbr**ding.

So, forgive me if I don't find it in the least funny that a privileged british man decides to make a few more bucks at the expense of other people's misery.
