Scarlett Johansson Talks About Lindsay Lohan's Anger

I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Scarlett

The NY Post got an early look at a profile of Scarlett Johansson:

Johansson said she's totally baffled over why Lohan scrawled vulgar words about the "Lost in Translation" beauty on a Big Apple bathroom stall 2½ years ago.

"I don't know what the motivation was," Johansson tells the mag.

"I remember it was something really vulgar - I mean shockingly so, like, 'Whoa, what, who are you?' "

The magazine includes a picture of Johansson and Lohan at an MTV party in 2004, and the newly married actress said it's one of the few meetings she's ever had with Lohan.

"I don't really know that person [Lohan]," said the "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" stunner. "I only met her, like, three times."

Johansson, who turns 24 on Saturday, also told Allure she doesn't like the term "muse" to describe her professional relationship with veteran moviemaker Woody Allen.

"I don't inspire the work that Woody does. I'm just lucky to fit into the 'young woman' category in his movies," she said. "But make no mistake, I know that if it wasn't me, it would be somebody else."

Back to the Lohan message. She reportedly wrote, "Scarlett is a cunt," in sharpie on a bathroom wall back in January 2006.

Simple explanation. Lohan's publicist told her obscene graffiti was the only way her name and Johansson's name could be used in one sentence that also contained the word "actress". Guess what? It worked.

I don't care about either her or Lohan...zzzzzzzz.

Btw, love the grammar. ;)

Why is the the people with the least talent who get lucky like Lindsey instead of being grateful they are lucky have anger at others? But then if I was raised by her parents and had a prettier younger sister who is going to be a much bigger star I would hate the world too,

WhoTF is Lindsay Lohan?

Scarlett is no angel. She would benefit from a bit of humility.

She's 24, one of the hottest women on the planet, and she comes off as 'down to earth' to me.

"I don't inspire the work that Woody does. I'm just lucky to fit into the 'young woman' category in his movies," she said. "But make no mistake, I know that if it wasn't me, it would be somebody else."

Scarlett is quite vanilla. She's pretty but no great beauty. I have yet to see her in a meaty acting roll. She always plays the pretty girl next door type. She would never gain weight, or change her appearance for a roll, e.g. Charlize Theron in Monster, Nicole Kidman in The Hours. Until she stars in a film like that, she is just another pretty face.

I'm NOT sorry about this comment (and I'm also heterosexual):

Scarlett Johansson has the most desirable breasts I've ever never seen! She is the one actress who, although I do respect her for keeping the girls demurely off the silver screen, I really want to see topless.

She is a wonderful actor, and I'm sure a great person as well; she is also grown into an insanely beautiful woman and (non-anorexic, thank God!) role model to me and I'm sure lots of others also.

But, c'mon Scarlett! Throw us (the whole country!) a bone: show us your beautiful breasts!

As a hetero male I whole heartedly agree. She is the most beautiful woman in hollywood and I would love to check out her birthday suit.

Christina Aguilara was No. 1 until she ruined it with those damned tats. Why mess with perfection Christi? She still has the most incredible voice of the decade.

She's way overrated, both in looks and as an actress. Hot, but not that hot.

Woody Allen looking at dailies of SJ in a darkened viewing room...not a visual I want to think about.

Who said anything about Woody watching dailies? I suspect your imagination is working a little too hard. This image is a product of your own psyche.

If anyone has never seen the updated to the jazz age version of Oscar Wilde's "Lady Windemere's Fan" titled, "A Good Woman", see it. It's on DVD. Johansson is onderful and Helen Hunt even better, but looking anorexic and old. The cinematography is superb and just absolutely gorgeous as well as the production values too. As for Lohan, what exactly does she do but get publicity for doing nothing but get in trouble? She doesn't work, just rests on her laurels as a once promising actress who continues to screw up her life.

Yes, what's up with Helen Hunt? Isn't she a little old for anorexia? Or does she have a tapeworm, or cancer? Or what? She's wasting away. Good actress, good heart. Hope she's okay.

Um, that was so two years ago! Hasn't Lindsay been through rehab since then? Gee, maybe drugs and alcohol could be the cause of that "anger"... do ya think?

Some of these celebs really need to learn how to let go. I mean, Jennifer, your thing with Brad was over a ages ago... You've moved on, TWICE! Get over it!

Remember how in the movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" Jim Carrey's character has part of his memory erased? If I could do that, I would make myself forget that people like Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson exist. They constitute an embarrassment to our country (well, one of many embarrassments).

Scarlett Johansson I would remember. She is a very fine actress.

You forgot Paris Hilton and the very arrogant and over-rated Angelina Jolie

Nicole Ritchie, Jamie Lynn Spears, and all the celebrity babies even if their parents aren't celebutards. And all those babies will be intermarrying to produce the third generation of celebutards. America will make them all rich, and all their handlers and hangerons and paparazzi too. All through this century, the same stupid faces and ugly baby pictures. Ugh.
No wonder American is not very respected nowdays.
Somehow this year's election broke through some of that celebrity-crazed haze. Things must be really really bad.

too bad that you'd end becoming completely aware of them again within 24 hours-unless you managed to escape to some mass media free environment like the steppes of central asia or some place like that.

Ok, first Jennifer Aniston digs up something Angelina Jolie said two years to ramble to Oprah about. Now ScarJo necros something LiLo did further back in time. Who cares? Pre-Sam Lohan was ten times the basket case she is now, let it go, Scarlett.

Really, is the new trend in Hollywood telling people how cool and mature you are getting over something a normal person would've shrugged off and forgotten about years before?
07:21 PM on 11/19/2008
Obviously, you didn't read the article. Scarlett was asked a direct question about it, she didn't just decide to bring the incident up. All she said was that she was surprised at the time it happened, I don't think that amounts in any way to holding onto a grudge. I think Scarlett gave a gracious reply. And, I believe that was also the situation with Jennifer Aniston.

As for Scarlett's interview, perhaps the interviewer would have been less inclined to even ask the question, if Lindsay Lohan had ever possessed the maturity to apologize to Scarlett. I don't care if Lindsay was on drugs or going through a rough time, part of the recovery process requires one to make amends and take ownership of his or her prior misdeeds.

i thought "the other boelyn" movie was really under rated. im a bigger fan of j.alba but i remember the award show 3 years back where it was alba against johansen to the international press. and when they announced johansen you could see alba at a back table literally come unglued and say who the fuuuwwuk... it was in hollywood and scarlet was not in attendence-- i felt sure the men at albas table were gay-- i love both girls
