Angelina Cries Talking About Late Mother (VIDEO)

Actress Angelina Jolie welled up with tears as she talked about her late mother at a press conference for her new film 'Changeling' in London on Monday, even cursing as she welled up (the word "fuck" is muted in the video below). Her mom Marcheline died of cancer early last year.

'We used to call her Marshmallow, as a joke, because she was just the softest, most gentle woman in the world.

'She was really sweet and was never angry - she couldn't swear to save her life. But when it came to her kids, she was really fierce and so this (film) is very much her, her story.

'She was the woman I related to, who had that elegance and strength for knowing what was right.'

What is the big deal with these 'stars'? I surely don't give a damn what they do, and know plenty of other people who have FAR more character than they yet don't go seeking attention for it. There are people in my family who have adopted from different cultures and they don't consider themselves saints--they are just regular people doing their thing, without the millions of dollars and stardom to help them out (no nannies for them, they do it on their own).

Why do you think SHE sees herself as a saint just because OTHER people choose to follow her life with their cameras?

Perhaps she wants them to all go away so she can live her life as she chooses. If that includes acting as a profession, why not?

She's backed away from it and Angelina has spent most of her interviews talking about how she fell in love with Brad on the set of the movie. Excuse me, the dude was married. Its interesting how this post has brought out the inner jerk of so many people. Does it disturb you to see that this woman has human feelings and misses her mother? I found it touching. Yes, beautiful celebrities can feel love and experience loss, too.

Angelina was asked a question and she answered it - period. That she used the beautiful memory of her kind. sweet Mother as her inspiration says a lot of good things about Angelina. Would that we were all so lucky as to have a Mother who left us with good memories that touch us deeply.

Acting is a job - like any other way to make money. Why does anyone who does not choose this profession think that actors are not "real" people? I've known several actors and some are as genuine as you or me.

Not all people in any walk of life are genuine and honest...politics, anyone?

Why does a fan of Jolie's automatically have to go to Aniston bashing? They are two different women with two different careers. Just because you find Jolie fascinating doesn't mean you have to bring the knives out against Jennifer. Poor Jen, I would give up if I had a lifetime of this sort of thing to contend with.

For heaven sake. This is the entertainment section and she's in a movie that has Oscar potential ad she's talking about her inspiration for the part. It's a no-brainer it should be posted.

And if you ahve a tough time listening, they don't click on the link and go watch something else. Just because you don't want to see her, doesn't mean others who do should be deprived for your selfishness.

And if it's all about Jen for you, then tell her to go do a high calibre production with one of the top three most powerful men in the industry and she too, can have this coverage.

I cannot believe some of the comments such as the one above about Jennifer "complaining." Sadly she married a man who cheated on her emotionally and/or physically during their marriage. It was all over the news which had to be devastating and then Angelina is pregnant before the divorce is even final and Brad's adopting her kids. Think about how it would feel to not only lose your husband to another woman, but to have it thrown in your face constantly by the media and having pictures of Brad and his new "family" plastered all over the news. I feel like Brad and Angelina were both very selfish in how they handled it, but it was their choice to do it that way. If Jennifer is asked how she felt about Angelina pretty much admitting their relationship began on the movie set while he was still married to Jennifer -- she has the right to answer how she felt about it. Why should you blast her for honestly answering a question?

Continued from below. I don't think in any interview I have ever heard her whine about losing Brad, even though I'm sure she would love to. Brad is a very handsome man and talented actor, but I think he's a jerk! I only hope that after committing to 6 children that he doesn't change his mind and fall for someone else on another movie set and leave Angelina high and dry because I don't think she's strong enough emotionally to handle it.

Well even if people don't like her, someone has to know that this kind of raw emotion regarding the passing of your mom is something that isn't fake.

I see we have many fans of Jen A. here today. That's fine. I do think your being a bit too scornful towards Angelina Jolie. We've all made mistakes. She has tried to be a part of the solution with 3rd world children. She was a part of it before it became the "thing" to do. So you should give her credit where credit is due. If you think Jennifer Aniston is a better person your fooling yourself. Pitt wanted a family, Aniston wasn't interested in that at the time. Maybe she will be before she gets too old. But right now she doesn't want to lose that girlish figure that's gotten her this far along in Hollywood. No chance of kids in her near future I wouldn't think.
She thinks what Jolie did was "uncool". A word you wouldn't hear coming from Jolie. The problem with Aniston is she tries too hard to be "cool" even at an age when it shouldn't matter anymore. Aniston is not yet mature enough to handle things in a graceful way and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Beauty is skin deep. Class is on another level. And you gotta give Jolie the class award between these two.

It's not that I'm a Jen A. fan or an Angelina fan...but how do you know what happened behind closed doors between Jennifer and Brad? I think she stated that around the time he began making Mr. and Mrs. Smith - he became emotionally distant. So would it have been better for her to get pregnant to try to keep him? Of course not! It, for whatever reason, is always suspect in the media when an actress adopts kids as opposed to having them in that she is not wanting to "ruin her figure." But none of us really know, nor should we, why anyone chooses to do what they do.

I'm sorry, but you are mixed up about class. Class is going through losing your husband to another woman and not getting on every media outlet blasting the two of them. She suffered a lot losing her husband. On the other hand, I will say that since Angelina has matured, she has gained more class. She did not always have that, especially during her Billy Bob days. But as to her video, she has every right to cry about losing her mother and I don't think anyone ever should say anything about her doing that. This movie brought out her very strong feelings of family and she showed emotion and again there is nothing wrong with that at all!

That was a rather lame point based on the individual personalities of these two women. Angelina is rather contrived and formal whereas Aniston is laid back and hip. Both are young enough to use the term 'cool'. That is still a very hip word.
