I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Bill O'Reilly is scared. As a daring crusader on the side of "traditional America" in the war against "secular progressives," O'Reilly fears that the "far left" will push President-elect Obama to embrace their values. As an example of the horrors that would befall us if this were to happen, O'Reilly offers up a surreal pseudo-documentary of San Francisco. O'Reilly sends producer Jesse Waters, whose sole journalistic value seems to be his utter lack of shame at chasing after and ambushing anyone O'Reilly points his finger at, to San Francisco because it represents 'far left government' at work.

Watching this video, one would think that ninety percent of San Francisco's population are either homeless, addicted to drugs, prostitutes, crazy, or some mix of all these. The video is an unbelievable smear on a great American city. The only thing worse than the video's message is the production value. After showing the video, O'Reilly interviews Waters for insight into how San Franciscans can live in such moral and physical squalor. Waters basically says the citizens of Frisco have accepted, and adjusted to, the fact their city is a hell hole. Actually, the city is so beyond the pale that O'Reilly once said he wouldn't mind if Al Qaida attacked the city. Watch and judge for yourself.

Does this video scare me? NO!! San Francisco is awesome. Police ignoring marijuana smoking? Oh my god! . . . Bill O'Reilly, or anyone else at Fox, or anyone that listens to your inane show, you are NOT welcome in San Francisco . . .

I've been trying, since the first time i went to SF, to find a way to move there. I had a place secured, in Haight-Ashbury, ironically enough, right above Ben & Jerry's, but i was not allowed to bring my dog.

memo to O'Reilly, stay out if you don't like it! Simple enough.

As a resident of San Francisco, I can count, maybe four neighborhoods were they recorded footage for this POS from the GOP apparachiks at FOX. Mostly we saw The Tenderloin (OK, maybe Polk St.) and The Haight, mostly Hippy Hill (in Golden Gate Park). We also saw some footage from North Beach (the strip clubs on Columbus where, no doubt, the FOX crew got some lap dances) and a teeny bit of Castro street. What about Noe Valley, The Marina, Pac Heights, Outer Sunset, The Fillmore or Sunnyside, huh? Nope. All we get from FOX are images of a few poor, hapless souls who could be from anywhere in the country and we, the so-called far left secularists, get blamed for it. And pot? C'mon Bill, you didn't know some of the best marijuana is grown by corn farmers in the midwest?

When I was in the 7th grade, I visited Washington, DC. Do you know what I remember the most? ALL OF THE HOMELESS PEOPLE! The square right across from the White House had a few dozen living there with their clothes draped over everything.

I was in SF this past January on a relatively warm day and don't remember the homeless people. I walked through the Castro district and saw no prostitutes. In fact, it seemed like a gay version of a normal neighbourhood. I dream of moving there, except the property is so valuable that it's not feasible right now.

He could have done similar stories on the Mid-Atlantic, on places like Youngstown, OH but those places are where his target demographic is.

At least there's proof though that Fox News has "reporters" and now they can investigate all of those claims they say were covered up by the "liberal" media during the election.

Truly awful stuff here.

This is my home town and I can easily defend it as the MOST AMERICAN city in the country.
No where else can you find the support for personal freedom (a supposed right-wing value), non-interfering government (a supposed right-wing value) and entrepreneurial business culture (yeah - belongs to the right also) . It is, as America claims to be, a mixing bowl of cultures, ideas, open discussion and incredible energy.
Can you find that in any "bible-belt" city - NO. And why? Because they do not actually value these ideals.

Yeah that Guiliani guy really cleaned up the city...got a few butt-f****d with night sticks as well. I really, really do want to see O'Really and this producer of his take walks in Central Park after dark. Don't think we'll have to worry about them again.

San Francisco should sue FOX for libel.

If they keep doing this kind of report about California maybe conservatives will bail and we can defeat Prop 8 more easily.

You could have told us this "newsclip" was from a 1968 news broadcast, and we might not have known the difference. Bill-O is stuck in the mid- 20th Century, still railing against the Hippies and anti-war sex, drugs, and rock and roll freaks. What scares me more is that so many people still watch him. I was in Lynchburg, Virginia a few months ago, and they're still calling French Fries "Freedom Fries," in local restaurants. The level of rampant ignorance in this day and age still stuns me sometimes.

This would have been interesting 45 years ago. Where were you then? Oh yeah, getting beat up by nuns not to mention priests...

What would this incredible tool say about the median cost of a house in SF, which has consistently been in the top 5 of American cities with populations over 250,000, and usually #1? Are there so many perverts making such serious coin that they all are moving to SF, thus driving up housing prices?

Wow. Does Uncle Jesse and the Olsen twins know their city is full of squalor? Bob Saget must be highly upset over this.

If San Fransicans are supposed to be so unhappy with their citys left lifestyle. Why did they vote No On 8? This video is BS.
