Hannity Concerts

So, it's come to my attention that Sean Hannity is sponsoring a series of "Freedom Concerts," tickets for which would make "perfect Christmas gifts," apparently, for everyone on your Christmas list of whom you have a low opinion. Billy Ray Cyrus will headline these events, and will be supported by country music legends The Charlie Daniels Band, Christian-contemporary performer Michael W. Smith, sun-ripened beef jerky husk Lee Greenwood, and Oliver North, who will, I guess, be playing a Moog accompaniment to "the Whitey tape." The concerts are in support of...freedom? I guess? Though probably the "supplies are limited some restrictions apply void where prohibited (cf. Prop 8 for further details)" brand of "freedom."

Naturally, one wonders about whether Billy Ray Cyrus' decision to join up on this tour might negatively impact the career of daughter Miley Cyrus, who's more positioned as a global brand, and who produces spastic and apolitical pop marm. Might Billy Ray's actions alienate a significant portion of Miley's fanbase? The answer is: probably not! After all, Miley's tween audience probably couldn't care less about Sean Hannity, and their parents, who may care, have basically established themselves as ineffectual money-fonts who live to get pushed around by their children anyway -- hence the existence of Miley Cyrus.

Anyway, based upon the sorts of people Hannity pals around with, we can all be thankful that, at the very least, Prussian Blue won't be opening.

haha, that's hilarious! don't try to compete with obama in terms of musician support, obama has ALL the good bands and artists, it's not even a contest, there really aren't any serious rightwing artists

I love it - conservative Wilco fans are going crazy and crying on why they can't get a better lineup

Why anyone would donate one thin dime to Hannity for his Faux Concerts is beyond me!
Last year Hannity (2007) was bragging about donating $10,000,000 to Freedom Alliance, as found at :
premierspeakers.com/sean_hannity There was no donation of $10,000,000 made to Freedom Alliance from Hannity from his Freedom Concerts!!
However if your read Freedom Alliances Tax Form 990 for the year 2007, Hannity didn't donate not one single penny! That goes for '06,'05,'04,'or '03. Nowhere in Freedom Alliances Tax Forms 990's for any these years is there any proof of Hannity donated anything at all!
These reports( 990's) are "Open to public inspection!. Call up Freedom Alliance and ask them for the last three years of their 990's. Then read through the 40-50 page report and show me where Hannity donated anything! You can't find his donations anywhere, especially his so-called $10,000,000 because they weren't made!

I dislike H. and country music, and think Hannah is silly but if all the money goes to kids then it is not a bad thing.

Doesn't Fox scream about family values and the Hollywood elite exploiting kids? Sometimes I don't believe how they switch gears. But then I guess you can when your average viewer is a bit on the slow side.

Hannity also always talks about American Family Values and their importance... except as related to the Obama family:

On the day after Michelle Obama's eloquent and moving speech at the DNC, in which she talked of their FAMILY VALUES, her daughters, her relationship with her husband and their dreams for their daughters future, Hannity told his radio audience "Don't you believe it ladies and gentlemen! EVERYTHING Michelle Obama said was scripted pure Hollywood! NEVER forget that this is an angry (black) woman"!

Can't have anyone seeing or actually believing that the Obamas actually have family values, feelings or are even part of the human race!

Ever notice that the right-wingers usually get the lamest musical acts going? When you've got Billy Ray Cyrus headlining, you know you're in trouble. Uhg...

Nah, I don't think punishing the daughter because her dad is doing a concert with Hannity is the way to go. Kinda unamerican doing the guilt by association thing.

Poor Prussian Blue. In their world an Obama Presidency must be the apocalypse.

If you're a Republican and you don't like country music you're screwed.

It's the only thing on the radio in those rural "real America" areas. Ever get stuck while driving in those vast wastelands?

Another reason to boycott his talentless, but not necessarily guilty daughter, except by association.

I knew he was/is a red neck-- if Miley condemns her father's stupid act, then maybe just maybe I might support her career through a daughter I may someday have.

Red necks suck.

Actually I suppose that everyone's tastes are different, but stating that Miley is "talentless" is a low blow! This young woman has great comedic timing , is a terrific singer/songwriter, and has thrilled concert audiences at sold out arena show across the USA. Rent the concert DVD from her recent "Best of Both Worlds' tour and see if you still believe that tasteless "talentless" accusation.
It's terrific! REALLY....

I really hate Hannity's face. His smug face. I rather look into the sun with a telescope than to look at his face. It's like I need to take morphine to make the pain go away, I'm not even joking.
