Billy Ray Cyrus, Others, To Perform At Hannity 'Freedom' Concerts

So, it's come to my attention that Sean Hannity is sponsoring a series of "Freedom Concerts," tickets for which would make "perfect Christmas gifts," apparently, for everyone on your Christmas list of whom you have a low opinion. Billy Ray Cyrus will headline these events, and will be supported by country music legends The Charlie Daniels Band, Christian-contemporary performer Michael W. Smith, sun-ripened beef jerky husk Lee Greenwood, and Oliver North, who will, I guess, be playing a Moog accompaniment to "the Whitey tape." The concerts are in support of...freedom? I guess? Though probably the "supplies are limited some restrictions apply void where prohibited (cf. Prop 8 for further details)" brand of "freedom."

Naturally, one wonders about whether Billy Ray Cyrus' decision to join up on this tour might negatively impact the career of daughter Miley Cyrus, who's more positioned as a global brand, and who produces spastic and apolitical pop marm. Might Billy Ray's actions alienate a significant portion of Miley's fanbase? The answer is: probably not! After all, Miley's tween audience probably couldn't care less about Sean Hannity, and their parents, who may care, have basically established themselves as ineffectual money-fonts who live to get pushed around by their children anyway -- hence the existence of Miley Cyrus.

Anyway, based upon the sorts of people Hannity pals around with, we can all be thankful that, at the very least, Prussian Blue won't be opening.

But Billy Ray just recently extended an open invitation to the Obama daughters to be on “Hanna Montana” any time of their choosing! --Nothing like joining up with the Obama arch-enemy, Sean Hannity (a man who would love to brain wash all and totally undermine the entire Obama presidency), in almost the same breath!

I have a 13 year old daughter and actuallu have grown VERY fond of Miley and Billy Ray... despite that "Achy-Breaky" thingy LOL! I was incredibly disappointed that Billy Ray contracted to join Hannity's tour!

Several weeks ago, on the day the tour and Billy Ray's involvement was announced, I began e-mailing everyone associated with him i.e. mgmt., Disney, record label, etc. and told them of my and my family's disappointment.

I included a link to Hannity's website and it's main forum "Washington Politics" asking them if after reading the posts there would they want to be associated with this man and the people who make up his audience and forum participants.

Of course... never got any reply back but was hoping to plant a seed. I also urge everyone else to visit that Forum and e-mail as did I. Tell everyone you know to check it out as well!

Mr. Hannity, by his own "standard of association" is NOT a "GREAT AMERICAN"!

Over the past 5 years these freedom concerts have raised over 9 Million $$$ for scholarships and education for the children of soldiers killed or severely injured ....So go ahead and get those petitions going .

I have to agree with you about the GOOD that Hannity's concerts have done. After having listened to him regularly and, at his urging, visited his website and forum "Washington Politics" where the most venomous, racist and vile topics are allowd to exist, urge people to find other ways to support the same cause.
