Daley Going To Turkey For Olympic Meeting

Mayor Daley has traveled the world to promote Chicago's bid to host the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. He's about to pile up even more frequent-flier miles.

On Thursday, the mayor will fly to Istanbul, Turkey for a meeting of the European Olympic Committee.

The International Olympic Committee is divided into five regions. There are more IOC members at the European meeting than at any of the other regions, possibly as many as 40. Sixty votes are needed to win.

I hope Obama can find it in himself to say no to this immoral Olympic scheme. Out side of Daley and a few of his cronies, there is little or no support for the Olympics in Chicago. The Olympics are Daley's racist attempt to force Black, working class families out of the Washington Park neighborhood. If Obama is really about "change", he will not support this ugly plan. The city of Chicago is almost 500 million dollars in the hole on it's current budget, with Mayor Knucklehead predicting even more dire consequences for next year! Myself, as a taxpayer in Chicago, do not want one penny of my tax dollars to go to this racist Olympic nightmare!
