Clinton Lawyers Vetting Her For Secretary Of State

CHICAGO — Associates of Hillary Rodham Clinton and her husband say the former first lady is weighing whether to leave the Senate and become secretary of state, believing the job is hers if she wants it.

Obama transition officials say other candidates have been vetted for the job, but the New York senator has emerged as the leading contender and the vetting of former president Bill Clinton has been particularly intense. Associates say Hillary Clinton has been told that Obama wants her to be secretary of state, although accounts differ on how bluntly and directly Obama made the overture. They would speak only on grounds of anonymity because of the private nature of the negotiations.

Hoping to ease concerns about possible conflicts of interest, Bill Clinton has agreed to publicly disclose the names of all donors who have given more than $250 to his presidential library and foundation.

Just like the so called audio tape that came out today, it is all a set up to keep
you following the drum of the people who are controlling American foreign Policy
at the expense of American lives on the battlefield.

There are people who want Bill to disclose his donors
to stand in the way of the peace process because there is more money in war than peace.

If Hillary tries to broker a peace deal and meet with anyone on Bill's donor list, the people
who do not want to see peace will use that list against her and say she is favoring them
because they made a donation to the Library or the Aids project.

We owe it to our men and women who are sent to their death, to talk to other countries
with the same respect equally on both sides without pre-conditions for one and not the other.

We will never have peace as long as we put any other country before America.
The only way we can help our friends and allies is if we are strong and not hated around the world.
Hillary might be able to broker a deal but this country is too busy letting another country
decide who we should talk to or broker peace deals with. Hillary is strong enough to press on
and try to do her best but they will use Bill's donor list against her when she does.

No one is put on the court - it is a position which is offered to an individual and then either it is accepted or not. Reaching the bench after that is up to the Senate.

Hillary has said over and over she has no interest in ever ever accepting an offer for SCOTUS.

The laugh ought to enough to disqualify her from any position involving contact with another human - but it isn't.

I have been as strong a supporter of Obama as anyone here. I still am. However, the three things I value most are freedom of thought, freedom of speech, and freedom of action. There are some posters here whom we all know and like, who supported Obama and still do, and strongly, but they are Independents. I don't know why they are that. I do know that I might become one if it means I can freely believe, and say, that Obama is making a mistake, that I don't agree with something he is doing, and not be ta.rred and fea.thered for it.

Obama himself said in his victory speech that we would not always agree with his decisions, and he said in that 30 minute program he did that he would make mistakes. That is good enough for me.

He did NOT go on to say that where we DON'T agree with him, then we don't support him, as some here have said.

Some people around here (not many of them regulars) seem to think that if you so much as question something Obama says or does, you are not a Democrat, you have committed high trea.son, and you might even be a tro//. That sounds like arm-twisting to me. That sounds to me like something that belongs more to ty.ranny than democracy. Obama is a president, not a ty.rant, not a di.ctator, and not a ki.ng.
