ST. PAUL, Minn. — A Minnesota judge has granted a request by Democratic Senate candidate Al Franken for the release of information on voters whose absentee ballots were rejected.

Ramsey County Judge Dale Lindman directed the county to produce the data by the close of business Wednesday. It complied.

Franken wanted the rosters of disqualified absentee voters in all 87 counties to determine if they were properly rejected in the counting of ballots for his close race with incumbent Sen. Norm Coleman.

Lindman's ruling applies only to Ramsey County, the state's second-largest county and the home of the state capital, but it represents a partial victory for Franken.

A key board hasn't decided whether to allow wrongly rejected absentee ballots into the statewide recount.

Hell with the pix, what about the crap a candidate has to go through to make sure ALL votes are fairly cast and counted?

We need legislation on this issue.

Who made the decision to use that photo? We want a name and explanation. It is an insult to journalism. This is not the humor page!

Does HuffPost have a Department of Devient Photography? So many of the photos you folks use are downright odd. The one accompanying this article is most, er, unusual.

This is the kind of Photo of Al that Coleman used all through his campaign, and worse. Al has always had a tough sell coming from his comedian background. Pictures like this don't help.

Yeah! HuffPo should use the same photos as every other media outlet! Cut out the creative stuff! And while you're at it, bring in those real, live journalists like Hannity and Limbaugh. Yeah! Ggggrrrrhhhh.

Keep the lawsuits going fo rall 87 counties until every last voter who was disenfranchised knows it and has the opportunity to prove he/she is a valid voter!

Well, another thread has a Janet Reno picture that is equally unflattering. They didn't want to appear sexist.
