Home Depot Founder: Retailers Who Don't Support GOP "Should Be Shot"

This is what Home Depot's founder Bernie Marcus said on a conference call yesterday:

"If a retailer has not gotten involved with this, if he has not spent money on this election, if he has not sent money to Norm Coleman and these other guys," Mr. Marcus said, apparently referring to Republican senators facing tough re-election fights, then those retailers "should be shot; should be thrown out of their goddamn jobs."

It's nice to know Home Depot supports the death penalty for not supporting their politics. The coming EFCA fight is going to be bloody.

Well I can now add Home Despot to my list of "Go To (Not !)" retail outlets ! I have been boycotting Dominos Pizza for the past few years (not a real big sacrifice) because the owner is an extremist christian whack job who built his own "christians only" gated community in Florida.

Any others I should add to my list ?

PS: I am pre-emptively boycotting any Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber books, TV shows and anything else they endorse, support or otherwise try to peddle. And of course I am also fully prepared to boycott Sarah Palin's inevitable celebrity fragrance "Rogue" ;)

I just called Home Depot and cancelled my credit card account - too bad I didn't know this before I bought a ladder for my mom's house yesterday! Funny - the guy on the phone sounded like an Obama guy - I told him why I was cancelling and he said "WHAT? This is the first I've heard of this. He was totally nice and said over and over "I understand" especially when I said that I wasn't supporting any company who treated their employees like that and that I'd be moving on to Lowe's!

As for others, I don't do WalMart or Dominos ... I'd be interested in hearing if there are others I should consider boycotting too - not for not being Democrat but for spreading crap like this! How about Ace Hardware - any bad news on that? It's a smaller company - wonder if it's American-owned and not led by someone like the HD idiot .. I'll check them out and see.
