Obama Surprises Biden With Cupcakes (UPDATED WITH PICTURES)

WASHINGTON -- What does an accomplished man of the world get for his 66th birthday?

Well, President-elect Barack Obama already gave Joe Biden the vice presidency. So, for his birthday, Obama gave Biden two ball caps and a rendition of the birthday song.

Biden's birthday is Thursday, but Obama surprised his No. 2 after their weekly lunch Wednesday at the transition office in Chicago. According to staff, Obama presented Biden _ a Delaware senator with decades of foreign policy experience _ with a dozen cupcakes decorated with candles and teased, "You're 12 years old!"

Staff reported that Biden, ever astute in the art of politics, laughed at the his boss's joke. He responded: "Maybe in dog years!"

Obama led the rest of the staff in song, then handed over some Chicago-themed gifts: a White Sox cap, a Bears cap and a bucket of Garrett's popcorn, a hometown favorite.

I think you got it right. We have been robbed blind by the current administration and we will have to do what we always do in hard times, tighten our belt. Great example by our Prez Elect and his staff. I wish much happiness and healh and well being to our new leaders. If they lead by example, then I, for one will be willing to follw.

I really wish we were their bosses; then I would tell President-Elect Obama and VP-Elect Biden, to stop with the Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. While she did get nearly 18,000,000 votes, I think she's a laughing stock to the world, with her disgraceful behavior at the tail end of her campaign. He's not just a Scorpio - he's got a huge stellium in Scorpio in his 12th house. It's like a traffic jam in there. He's a very complex man with the chart to prove it. The position of VP is perfect for him, he'll excel and probably end up being the person President-elect Obama trusts most among the Cabinet. This trust will be justified and Biden's loyalty to the President will never waver. Also, I'm sure that Mrs. Biden is a very lucky woman in certain areas. Ahem.
