Shepard Smith Goes Nuclear Over Viewer's Email

Fox News' Shepard Smith was very upset over an email he received regarding his discussion of the potential bailout of the auto industry, and he was not afraid to show it. Smith read the whole email on the air, and then repeatedly insulted the man, starting off by acknowledging he mispronounced the emailer's name, but flatly declaring he "didn't care." Watch it.

Shepster is correct. When did a car dealer, bank or insurance company ever give you/me a break?

And nobody will ever help a small local business. The fact is that the (once Big 3) had 30 years to become competitive with imports and failed. Why would they not fail again?

Wrong. Somebody does help "a small local business". They are called the Small Business Administration. It's up to businesses to find the help that's already out there for them. There are more agencies to help them too, but the SBA is the one with the most loot.

Wrong, that wasn't his point Solja. His point was on bail-outs not start-ups. I don't think the SBA, or anyone for that matter will come to the aid of a struggling or near bankrupt co. owned by a small business person. The big three have failed with bad products, die, move over, and let small business compete, or restructure, and let other private enterprise take you over.

Me too. I like him. I hate Fox news and all the bozos and bozettes on there but for some reason Shep seems ok. I saw his Katrina coverage back in 2005 and have respected him since.

What Shep just said has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the e-mail he just read. I am hopeful that most observers will realize what a non-sequitur that was.

It's funny how on one hand, Shep is deriding this guy because he thinks jobs are being lost, and on the other he's ridiculing him for standing up to organized labor.
