LOS ANGELES — Guns N' Roses is spreading democracy to the world.

The protracted wait for "Chinese Democracy" is over, as all 14 tracks of the long-anticipated album began streaming now on MySpace.com sometime Thursday.

The CD goes on sale Sunday.

Recording began in 1994, when Guns N' Roses was a sure-selling, solid hard-rock band fronted by singer Axl Rose and guitarist Slash. On the new album, Rose is backed by an entirely new band.

After myriad delays and false starts, Geffen Records announced in October that the album would be released Nov. 23. Some tracks leaked online in 2002 and two were released earlier this year: one in the "Rock Band 2" video game and another in the film "Body of Lies."

The Album sounds great!! Its sounds more like Use your Illusions than Appetite for Destruction. Nothing could live up to the hype of 14 years of hype. Ill be there to get it first day its available. Just don't take 14 years to make a follow up!!! Good to hear Axl again though!!

i just went and listened... well, i should say i tried to listen.

this album is embarrassingly bad. completely not relevant at all in any way, shape or form to what is happening today in music. WOW!!!

This is really just an Axl solo album. It's really top-heavy with layers and layers of production and lots of screaming.

He's still got it, I guess, but I realized that I stopped wanting it about 20 years ago.

Sounds like GNR are trying too hard to make a relevant album using an irrelevant strategy. Should be more about the message than the ego.

I like how anyone bashing the record admit they haven't listened to it and can't even spell AXL correctly.

Slash who? Oh yeah, that guy who past his prime sometime in 1993. He put out that half-assed pile of junk known as Velvet Revolver (ok, two half-assed piles of junk if you're one of the 12 people who know they released a second record).

Axl is Guns N' Roses. Anyone who listens to this album cannot say with a straight face that its a bad album. You can say "It's good but I don't really like it", but good luck saying "it sucks". You just can't do it.

(((straight face)))

it SUCKS. it SUCKS so bad that it doesn't know how to suck.

Just finished attempting to suffer through this wretched pile of garbage that has been digitized and shot out over the Internet. Wow, I can say with resolute certainty that this album does indeed suck. Yes Sterile, think what you want about me, but I'm an old-skool GnR fan from back in the day when Appetite was just released, and I say this messy collection of tracks sucks.

I liked it, didn't love it, but liked it.

It sucks. And it's bad. I listened to the entire thing.

If it was an Axl Rose album sure it's be c.rappy but at least his own c.rap.

But this is a GnR album. Appetite bro. GnR this is not.

It's a dude fiddling around for 10+ years making a long lost Dennis de Young solo STYX album. This is not GnR it's an Axl Rose theater rock f.art

for the haters: the only original members of guns 'n roses to play on appetite were axl and izzy. pull your huge heads out of your tight little a$$es and listen to music with an open mind. for crying out loud...

It's a matter of taste and preference but don't be so full of yourself and your opinions that your default stance is that anyone who doesn't like the music hasn't listened to it. I've heard the entire album, I've listened closely and I think it stinks. That doesn't mean you can't have a contrary opinion, it just means yours isn't the only one.

Was a big fan of GNR back in the day. I have not heard the entire new album, but I can say I do like what I have heard. Definitely give this album a real listen.

One has to question the timing of this project, the whole behind the scenes aspect as well. Over a decade in the making....had to be something more than just creative issues...

All of you people trashing it obviously haven't listened to it. It's a pretty amazing album. None of the songs sound alike, the layering is deep and melodic, every part compliments the song, and Axl's voice is right on and all over the place. His entire range is on this album, and to you who say he's a terrible singer, you obviously have no idea what it takes to do what he does with his voice.

And this is some of the best guitar on any album to come out since Use Your Illusion. No joke.

As someone who idolizes Slash and the original GN'R, I wholeheartedly accept this album as part of the catalog. I'll be listening to it for a long time.

I highly recommend 'Better', 'Sorry', 'Street of Dreams', and 'Madagascar'.

to say it doesn't rock is to be dishonest with yourself.

Sorry is a great track, for sure.

I listened to the whole thing (what a chore); I didn't like it. It's a huge turgid mess. Not an actual song on the whole thing. Too many cooks, too much fuss, no inspiration.

Just my opinion.

Sounds like parody music from The Simpsons, like something Otto Mann would be playing on the bus. Seriously, Axel's voice is in the toilet and there doesn't seem to have been any evolution in the sound. Yawn.

"Madagascar" and "This I love" are very nice. Great work. My six year old heard while I was listening and said "he has good songs""he has a beautiul voice"
