Jennifer Garner Gets Restraining Order Against Alleged Stalker

LOS ANGELES — Jennifer Garner has won a restraining order from a man she says has been stalking her for years. An attorney for Garner appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom Thursday morning and won three years of protection for Garner, husband Ben Affleck and their daughter, Violet.

As first reported by TMZ, Garner petitioned for protection earlier this month from 36-year-old Steven R. Burky, who she says has been harassing her since 2002.

Garner wrote in a sworn statement that she believed Burky's "obsessive, threatening and stalking behavior" posed a threat to her and her family.

The former star of the television series "Alias," Garner has also appeared in recent films such as "Juno" and "The Kingdom."

She has such a pretty smile, and those dimples make her look like she is a really sweet person. I can see how a stalker mentality would be drawn to her, but it's scary. I hope Jennifer and her family stay safe.

I don't know why fools stalk someone in the entertainment industry. People who do that should be taken very seriously because they were sick to start with. No wonder celebs have to live behind massive gates and fortresses--just to keep themselves and their families safe.
