Rove

Today's Wall Street Journal features an op-ed from former White House Adviser Karl Rove that's filled with cautions and advice and ruminations on the obvious offered up to Barack Obama because Rove just wants to go on helping out as the president's brain and stuff. Anyway, aside from having the most strangely misleading deck copy in the world (it reads "There may be more difficulties than he realizes in closing Gitmo" when in fact the only mention of Gitmo comes in the eleventh paragraph of this sixteen paragraph editorial), the piece is noteworthy for this paragraph, stuck in at the end, where Rove tries to work in one last "suspicious associations" charge on Obama, for auld lang syne:

There is also a thorny local controversy. Should the new president replace U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, who prosecuted Mr. Obama's fund-raising patron, Tony Rezko, and is investigating high-profile Democrats?

HAHA YES, Karl! Would you be referring to the same U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald who - uhm...investigated you and other high-profile members of the Bush White House in the Valerie Plame CIA leak scandal? And, wouldn't you know, Karl, from personal experience, Karl, whether it's wise or not to remove a bunch of U.S. Attorneys for political reasons?

How's this for some ironic Rove trivia:

His birthday is Christmas Day!

Why is this man not in jail? He holds just as much blame as GW and Chaney. They are all criminals so why would Obama EVER want to hear what he has to say. Unless it is to know what not to do?

Who in the world does Karl Rove think he is, that he should even think he has any advice to offer?
Somebody said once, that the worst kind of vice is advice.

I worry, This issue in Texas of this Judge who has decided to press charges and have Rove and Cheney face his court. Why. Why now? Is this Judge a Conservative and is this a part of some ploy to enable Bush to issue Pardons early on. If this Judge presses forward on this case and they are found guilty then that would make it possible for there to be pardons. Otherwise if Bush issued Pardons out of thin air without any obvious reason it would look suspicious and everyone would suspect that he was just protecting them in order to preempt any possible use of the two in charges against him. By doing this they would all get away with murder. I would really like to know what this Judges political leanings are.

Considering the results of Rovian Politics, I'd think the only advice he'd have the cajones to offer the President Elect would be more along the lines of, "Everything I did and everything I encouraged Bush and Cheney to do - don't do any of that."

Until Palin came along.... this thing called Rove was at the top of my slimball list. If he really wants to advise Obama, why doesn't he give him a call and meet behind closed doors. No, he's still up to his snake tricks.

Karl, please retire and go to Alaska!

He along with Rush Limbaurgh, Hannity and Joe the Plumber should move to Alaska. Ann Coulter could join them also

Nothing useful comes out of their mouths and they are harmful to our country

I know of a choice place for all those slimeballs to go to - not Alaska - but out in the middle of the Bering Sea. Maybe they could find an ice-floe.

I would pay a million dollars to Karl Rove to make him shut his trap for the rest of his life.

Why is this guy still talking? He's gone from republican thug to pathetic talking head. Of note, however, is that Mr. Obama should probably listen to everything El Sleazoid recommends and do the opposite. it's guaranteed to be a winner.

Doesn't Bush's brain still need some help, or has it been helped to its full capacity? I guess you can't help, what does not exist.
