Rove

Today's Wall Street Journal features an op-ed from former White House Adviser Karl Rove that's filled with cautions and advice and ruminations on the obvious offered up to Barack Obama because Rove just wants to go on helping out as the president's brain and stuff. Anyway, aside from having the most strangely misleading deck copy in the world (it reads "There may be more difficulties than he realizes in closing Gitmo" when in fact the only mention of Gitmo comes in the eleventh paragraph of this sixteen paragraph editorial), the piece is noteworthy for this paragraph, stuck in at the end, where Rove tries to work in one last "suspicious associations" charge on Obama, for auld lang syne:

There is also a thorny local controversy. Should the new president replace U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, who prosecuted Mr. Obama's fund-raising patron, Tony Rezko, and is investigating high-profile Democrats?

HAHA YES, Karl! Would you be referring to the same U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald who - uhm...investigated you and other high-profile members of the Bush White House in the Valerie Plame CIA leak scandal? And, wouldn't you know, Karl, from personal experience, Karl, whether it's wise or not to remove a bunch of U.S. Attorneys for political reasons?

Rove advising Obama? The seemingly bottomless pit of conceit this man draws from has become comical, bordering on hilarious. Plus he looks like some low form of blind, albino cave dweller. There are many ways to be ugly, and Rove has all the bases covered.

shameful as it sounds. i do take solace in the fact that i cannot possibly ever look that ugly. my word, he is ugly. just really, really, really ugly. all the money he may have, power he may wield. would not want it, if i had to look like that.

Now, Now, do you really think he looks worse than say, the Newt, or Guilliani? Does his head look closer to exploding than say, Rush?? It may not even be a "looks" thing. Forrest said "Ugly is as ugly does."

It'll be interesting to see what a president who's got a doctorate from Harvard Law School knows about the law.

P.S. Why is anyone listening to Karl Rove after the past 8 years? Isn't it obvious "Bush's brain" wasn't very smart? Anyone who's ever been to primary school or played a game of football can tell you that it's possible to win by cheating. But it won't make you smarter or a better player.

Are these reich-wing republicans ugly because they were born that way or do they become ugly because they perform ugly deeds?

Put a bag over this ugly guy's face so that we don't have to look at him.

Karl Rove should be in jail with Bush, Gonzalez and Rumfeld for at least 25 years to start.

Karl Bush Brain Rove; we will wait until the brainless one leaves office because we don't want brainless to parden you. Think about this; in the USA, citizens go to jail for simple posession of marijuana. Karl Rove gets away with ignoring a Congressional Subpoena?

I just canceled my subscription to the print WSJ for giving space to this law-breaking, sleazy/ manipulative individual that was responsible for Bush being the worst president ever. It's just too much to take.

Pondering his legacy, no doubt, like his protege Shrub. Let's see, is it the unjustified invasion of Iraq or the degradation of the American justice system of which he is most proud? "Winning" the election in 2000? What a career.
He's been friends with Bush 43 for 35 years and Bushie couldn't have done it without Rove, the man behind the pretty face, the brains behind the brawn.

It amazes me this guy still get traction. He should be shunned instead of given a platform to continue spreading his poisonous neo-con rhetoric, a man who was instrumental in leading this nation onto the brink of the abyss .. He should be the first one tossed over it, along with his some of his cohorts like Cheny and Limbaugh

I think this old boy may be getting measured for an orange jumpsuit soon. I hope he wears it well.

Nice to see Karl reduced to a concern troll. He does provide amusing copy. He might even take himself seriously, but we needn't.
