Bronx Mowgli Wentz: Ashlee Simpson Has Baby

NEW YORK — Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz are the proud parents of a baby boy, and they're celebrating with some Bronx cheer _ this one is a good one.

Their representative says the pop and rock star couple have named their son Bronx Mowgli. The baby, born Thursday night, weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces.

Bronx is the first child for Simpson-Wentz, best known for the hit "Pieces of Me," and Wentz, bassist for the platinum rock band Fall Out Boy. They were married earlier this year.

Their representative said in a statement: "Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!"

Kids having kids is not nearly as big a problem as kids NAMING kids...
I think of the weeks I spent thinking of what I would name my sons and how they would feel about their names. I thought of how other kids would use that name to tease them and how well it went together with our last name. My guys are 21 and 16 now and both love their names.

Not once did I think of naming my son after the kid from the Jungle book or a city that's and asphalt jungle. I think this poor child had enough of a cross to bear because of who his parents are without being saddled with that name. I suppose they were just looking for names that would give the kid the initials BMW but that's a sad way to get there.
