Washington Post:

President Bush praised his successor for a "very effective campaign" in a new interview, but showed some skepticism about President-elect Barack Obama's promise of change.

In an interview with a Peruvian television network released Friday, Bush said he hopes Obama "succeeds in his job." Then he was asked about Obama's campaign theme of "el cambio," or change, for the United States.

This is the only intelligent thing this scorpion has ever said. And it will be the last.

Shrub hasn't been effective at anything in his entire life, so his observations are suspect, just like everything that comes spewing out of his mouth. Too bad Dubya didn't run an effective administration. Too bad it isn't 1-20-09 right now.

That may be the only campaign promise Bush kept. We certainly did get change.

Effective campaign, yes! That's self-evident--he won!

But since then, things seem to be in turmoil.

Bob Woodward, perhaps trying to gain credibility after his partisanship, has this to say abut Hillary as State:

Being president is about control, and tell me who ever controlled Bill or Hillary Clinton. They can't control each other. ... I think it's because Warren Buffett and Paul Volcker and others have convinced Obama, 'You're going to have to focus like a laser on the economy. That's issue Number One. And give Hillary and Bill the world.' ... I think people are fantasizing or smoking something if they think Joe Biden's going to call Hillary Clinton up and say, 'This is what we want you to do.'

We still do not know if Clinton will be SOS, but if she is, they will all work as a team trying very hard to do what is best for all of us and the rest of the world. Obama will always have the first and final say and will be held accountable for the those decisions, both good and bad.
I think Hillary Clinton can bring a wealth of knowledge, insight, confidence and productivity. Many people love to demonize the Clintons, but they have continuosly worked vigorously their whole lives on improving millions of peoples lives. Whatever anyone says, they will always be considered by many as great Americans.

TURMOIL???????????? You're kidding, right? Turmoil is a word I would use to describe our country and the economy. Not, a transition team, Congressional members and FBI that leaks Cabinet selections. Are you really this stupid?????????

God Bless you SailFree. Just recalling all your pre-election rantings, two things are certain you are consistently wrong, but you wholeheartedly believe your B.S.

Yeah, Bush ran on "change" too, so basically he KNOWS he failed, and HE'S mostly to blame for the messes we are in now.
Way to go Shrubya!

Obama didn't run his campaign, David Axlerod and an experienced, highly skilled team of professionals ran the campaign. Obama selected the top people. This works for a election campaign. Hopefully, the same formula will work in the presidency. But they are very different.

Suppose he thinks Tiger Woods is a "pretty decent golfer" too.

Don't you love Bushie's observation of the painfully obvious?

Pity his ability in this regard is NEVER practiced in the realm of self-examination.

Also, this is just another slap to his "old pal" and former victim-of-slander, McCain.

In just one month and twenty eight days Dubaya will be out of the White House.

It will be the end of an error.

And he'll run a very effective Presidency -- one that doesn't hurt the country, unlike George Bush.
