What's Your Reaction?

This week, as reports of that Secretary of State position swirled around her, Hillary Clinton reunited with an old friend: her headband. At the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights gala in New York on Wednesday night, Hillary donned a thick gold headpiece, similar to the braided black style she wore frequently as First Lady, particularly during a trip overseas in 1996. Is the senator sending subliminal signals that she's ready to hit the road again...this time as Secretary of State? See the style progression below.

Actually, I was thinking that if she gets the SoS nod, she'll need a new "do". It would not only be a perfect way to reintroduce herself, it would be a necessity; the helmet (as well quaffed as it usually is) just won't cut it.

I am also pro headband, I dont believe they ever went out. I like headbands, and im glad she is wearing them again, they are the closest things to a tiara but with the functionality of keeping hair out of your face, and they dont look silly.

Plus they serve as an instant facelift. Hill looks great.

I think that there are more important things to worry about than Hillary's hairstyle!

I hope I look that good when I'm her age.

I always liked the headbands, I think they look better than the "old lady hairdo" that so many women in politics seem to prefer.

Ok, the hairstylist couldn't make it. That's the best trick when there's no time to do your hair. Hill, love you, but headbands are so Upper East Side! Yuk!

True. Headband are the sign of a bad hair day.

The difference in her eyebrows is striking.

I like this one ... it kind of blends with the color of her hair. And I like how she picks up the color with the scarf ... clearly she is getting better advice these days.

She should have gone with the thin elastic head bands that are in today - the large headbands are dated but the thin headband is all the rage.

If she wants to wear a headband, who cares? I think it looks nice. Not many women want to reveal their whole face and hide behind bangs. Hillary looks great. She has aged very well I think.

I've always liked headbands myself...very elegant, yet practical. Certainly a lot less work than the naughty librarian bun (stopped sporting after late August, LOL ) which requires considerable upkeep to prevent it from looking like a total mess. Hurrah for Hillary and her headbands!

Ironically, I had added a comment on the "SOS" thread about how radiant she looked in that picture (the same one here)... She just looks teriffic with yellow tones near her face... She has a suit that has a bright yellow jacket and black slacks that looks great on her too...
BUT, she needs to burn that ugly bright blue blazer-pant-suit she wore on the campaign trail for BO that MSNBC keeps looping...it's ugly and it accentuates her "matron's-middle"... In fact, she should abandon ALL monochromatic pant-suits... Her best suit is the one with the brown/black/cream/tan tapestry-looking jacket and black slacks...absolutely stunning (and slimming)...I'd love to make her wardrobe over...
