Michael Jackson Becomes A Muslim Named Mikaeel

Beleaguered pop star Michael Jackson has converted to Islam and changed his name to Mikaeel, it has been claimed today.

The 50-year-old singer, who has previously been photographed wearing a traditional Arab women's veil, reportedly became a Muslim in a ceremony at a friend's house in Los Angeles.

The singer, who was raised as a Jehovah's Witness, is said to have sat on the floor and worn a small hat while an imam officiated at the home of Steve Porcaro, who composed music on his Thriller album.

I thought only the women had to cover their faces. I have never seen the men do that. Maybe with all that he has done to his face he can't take the sun. Why would anyone do that to themselves.

First, I don't believe any report coming from the UK regarding Americans.

But even if he did become a Muslim, why would that be a problem. We just got through from voting against a party of division, distraction and bigotry, less not dwell on the anomalies of someone's personal choices. Michael Jackson is his own man, he can convert to whatever he wants. It's his life not ours.

Why not report that MJ actually SOLD Neverland. This time it's actually true, and no one's reporting it.

You know I grew up listening to MJs music amongst the other popular 90s &80s singers. I think there was a time period early on when his career was at its peak and his music represented Amelierica to the entire world. So it was a bit sad to see him go down the way he did starting with the multiple surgeries and then the alleged child abuse lawsuits. Some of my Muslim friends laughed when I mentioned this conversion thing to them. The ironic thing was one of them joked about how he would have to wear the veil now without even knowing that MJ is already observing that aspect of the faith meant for females. IN spite of everything I hope all turns out well for this fellow because I hate it when people come crashing down as life moves on.
