Rosie O'Donnell Talks Barbara Walters Feud On Conan (VIDEO)

Fresh off her on-again feud with Barbara Walters and "The View," Rosie O'Donnell guested on Conan Thursday night, and she did not dodge Conan's questions about the resurgent rivalry.

"It's a little emotional, I have a little Post Traumatic Stress Disorder when I watch it," Rosie said. "I get a little bit of flashbacks, like Vietnam vets. But it was a good experience, it wasn't something I regret doing by any stretch of the imagination. But it didn't end well, and people seem to remember that part."

The resurgence of the feud has to do with Rosie telling reporters that Barbara Walters' claims that the co-hosts of "The View" are friends off camera are untrue, and Walters responded on the program Thursday telling Rosie to move on with her life.

"Everyone's real good friends," a defiant Rosie said to Conan. "And they hang out together pretty much every day after the show. Barbara, Joy, Elisabeth, they all go to Friday's and have potato skins. They throw back a few beers on a Saturday, you know how it is. They're very chummy."

Rosie also responded directly to Barbara's claims that she is using the show for publicity.

"She's a little angry," Rosie said. "In spite of the fact that she now loathes me, I still do enjoy her. I'm not sure I'm going to be a guest on that show again. But I tried my best ‐ I told them when they hired me that I had never worked on a show before where I wasn't the boss, and that there was a chance that might cause some problems...[but] I don't wanna dump on the show in order to benefit my own career, to use it for publicity, because I didn't have a career before that show so I'm very thankful to 'The View' for the help that it's given me in my life."

Rosie also semi-apologized to Barbara, saying, "I never meant to hurt a journalist of her stature, in all honesty."

Roise isn't defiant. She answered a simple question. Can you imagine the press if she refused to answered a View question? BW needs to get over the fact that she can no longer hide behind a false facade. Wealth and prestige are no longer justification for misrepresentation.

Oh, big mistake!!!! A 13 year old boy would be mortified at the "crying" story being out there for the general public. The story about "the talk".....­.on national t.v.?..... I can't imagine the repercussions. Kind of ironic since she was talking to him about his right to privacy.
I was unimpressed by Rosie's banter about Barbara and friends. The talk about her son, though, made me cringe. Most of us moms blow it from time to time, but not like this, and not in front of millions of people. I hope detailed stories about raising her son is one subject Rosie passes on in future interviews.

I think the point shes making is that its NOT important to her. People interview her and ask her that, and she told the truth... They aren't really friends, out side the show they don't socialize. Which is most likely true, its probably like every other job. You get along while you're at work, but you're not necessarily best friends.

I love Rosie and her time on the View was extremely interesting. The way she left was awful and the fact that BW supported that twit EH is discusting. All though I do love Whoopie she is intellegant, funny and interesting.

Rosie is one of those who people either love or hate...for whatever reason I don't know because I love her!
The View was never better than when she was on. Every day she talked about relevant topics. Now it's just another woman's show.
