The weekend isn't bringing any respite in the Minnesota Senate recount.
Ballots in the ultra-close race between Republican Norm Coleman and Democrat Al Franken are being counted in at least three counties today.

Duh, they're recounting every vote cast, not "a handful."
This paragraph deep in one of the Star-Tribune articles seems to document a Repulican voter admitting -- bragging, even -- that he deliberately voted twice. Isn't this voter fraud?
Coleman supporter Jerald McElmury, of North St. Paul, wasn't surprised to be rejected. He didn't take any chances with his vote. He cast it -- twice. "I voted early," McElmury said, of his absentee ballot that was later rejected, "but drove my wife to the polls and decided I'd vote again, to make sure it was counted. I figured it would get flagged that I voted twice, so it worked exactly the way it was supposed to, for me."
So it takes 2 weeks to count a handful of votes?
No it takes 2 weeks to organize a FULL recount of all the votes. That means organizing election officials from all the counties, the state offices and observers from both candidates camps. It is not hurried and this is not the first Senate recount in the state of Minnesota. In fact, though it got very little coverage, there was a recount in the last Senatorial campaign in Minnesota.
Wow, this is close - but it won't be decided until Dec 16 at a hearing regarding the contested ballots. Good luck Al.
