Palin Turkey Ad: Conservative Group Releases Thanksgiving Spot "Honoring" Palin (VIDEO)

From the department of awkward timing: Days after video of Sarah Palin's interview in front of slaughtered turkeys became a web sensation, the conservative group Our Country Deserves Better releases a Thanksgiving-themed ad "thanking" Palin.

The opening of the spot features an announcer praising Palin...in front of images of roasted turkeys.

Friends, too many times we've seen politicians who "sell out" to the media or political pressure and succumb to politically correct, liberal positions, rather than fight for conservative beliefs. But Gov. Sarah Palin has stood steadfast by her conservatism, both in public as a politician, and in her own private life - carrying to full term her baby boy, Trig, rather than opting out for an abortion as some would have had her done. She believed in the value of that life, just as she believes in the greatness of America.

It's time for us to stand behind Sarah Palin now, not just to support her, but to also show other politicians that if they take the risk to champion conservative ideals, that they will find support from we, the American people.

This is the funniest ad I've seen in ages. I thought it was a parody at first. But then I realized that she must have organized it. you may think she's stupid and incurious, but she is one of the shrewdest cookies around. don't underestimate her. but enjoy the ad for a good laugh

I disagree with her politics, but mostly I'm insulted by the RW spin of her "qualifications". Who needs the smart few when we have an abundance of average?

This year Sarah is preparing her famous,"Palin squat & gobble popcorn turkey." The bird instead of being stuffed with traditional stuffings, is stuffed with popcorn and cooked in an oven at 350 degrees until the @$$ is blown out of it.

This commercial is another right-wingnut to revise history. Like Bush, the see another "leader" dumb enough to control and ignorant and uncaring of the consequences of her decisions. She is perfect for their purposes. And since they have such contempt for America and American, they think that by putting more lipstick on this pig (yes, I am referring to Palin) that Americans will fall into line like the people that follow these ungodly preachers of a false gospel.

Of course, the Obama vote proved that over half of America isn't that stupid. Thank God.

Look for more revisionist history and cover-ups of the scandals of Palin and her family as the right pours money and clothes onto Palin and tells her that its "god's will" that she run. She is exactly the candidate that our founding fathers warn us against in the Federalist Papers.

My daughters grew up on a farm in Hawaii. As a gift for our first Thanksgiving Luau ,someone brought us the big white turkey about a month before the holiday.Th­is bird was really smart, very friendly, and loved company. When someone came to visit, he would position himself in between us and join in the conversation. When he was lonely he would find us, no matter where we working on this 30 acre spread, to be with us. But when the feastday approuched, the deed was done, and I must admit, we all somewhat felt a tinge of remorse when we had finished our dinners. As young girls, my daughters were intrigued when a wild pig was caught and butchered. They would call me over and say "dad, look at this", pointing out a pig's heart or something. You conservatives need to understand, that my girls know where their food comes from, know hard work , know the value self- relience, earned every one of their pennies the old fashion way. I am really proud of my daughters and guess what conservatives, they voted for Obama . Obama No Ka Oi

This is very sad. You became friends with the turkey and the turkey showed you friendship back and yet you still managed to kill it and eat it and only felt a "tinge of remorse" afterwards. It makes me wonder what it would take for you to "get it". And through it all, you are bragging about being conservatives.
