Palin Turkey Ad: Conservative Group Releases Thanksgiving Spot "Honoring" Palin (VIDEO)

I Like ItI Don’t Like It

From the department of awkward timing: Days after video of Sarah Palin's interview in front of slaughtered turkeys became a web sensation, the conservative group Our Country Deserves Better releases a Thanksgiving-themed ad "thanking" Palin.

The opening of the spot features an announcer praising Palin...in front of images of roasted turkeys.

Take a look:

Some text from the email announcing the advertisement:

Friends, too many times we've seen politicians who "sell out" to the media or political pressure and succumb to politically correct, liberal positions, rather than fight for conservative beliefs. But Gov. Sarah Palin has stood steadfast by her conservatism, both in public as a politician, and in her own private life - carrying to full term her baby boy, Trig, rather than opting out for an abortion as some would have had her done. She believed in the value of that life, just as she believes in the greatness of America.

It's time for us to stand behind Sarah Palin now, not just to support her, but to also show other politicians that if they take the risk to champion conservative ideals, that they will find support from we, the American people.

Pray that these wingnut cliff-dwellers keep spending their money on this kind of dross... that much less available for the right-wing smear campaigns in the next election cycle.

Surprised the dullards aren't throwing a victory party for McCain and Nanook.

OK to the poster named, user20092009, quit saying "We the people of America" can't wait for Palin to become President.
I have seen your post over and over and over again. Just because you keep repeating it, doesn't make it true.

This may be your opinion, but the American people have spoken. Over 60% have said she was not qualified to be VP, let alone President.

Umm, "We the people" voted against Palin, including this New York Republican. "We the people" are not waiting for her to become the next President, Obama will be the next President and not a day too soon.
If necessary I will vote for "Anyone but Palin" in the next GOP Presidential Primary.

This is scalarious, and combination of scary and hilarious. I laughed until I wet myself, then I realized these people really believe this BS and then I crapped myself.

Excuse me for a while ... I have to go clean up.

I love the new word. I wish I would have known of it throughout the campaign. It describes my inital and latter reactions to McCain's ridiculous choice of VP.

Why does the GOP keep acting like Sarah Palin is the only mother who willingly gave birth to a Down's Syndrome child?

Why does the GOP keep acting as if Sarah Palin was asked by anyone to abort her child?

Such BS

I know, right? Are we supposed to believe that she was getting letters in the mail from liberals stating "Dear Governor, just in case your baby is disabled, make sure to abort it.!" ????

They are a pathetic group. The proof is in the Palin. Their thinking needs to be challenged. There has to be methods to accomplish this. They need to be fed little questions and stories that make them doubt. They can't handle the big picture. May be start with the National Enquirer. This would be an easy cross denominational strategy. Whatever we do, we need to keep a non-confrontational approach. We could do a flier drop over heavily populated areas. We need to see them as the gnats they truly are and use rhetoric that neutralizes their words. Remember 2000 and 2004 anyone????

In the video they show a family with four young children.

Nothing wrong with that. If the parents CAN AFFORD TO CARE FOR THEM!!!

Articulate advocacy? What have they been smokin'? I guess I will have to sen them some links to the Katie Couric interview. And I wonder how long they had to look to find a black supporter of Palin.

But I also have to thank Palin for ruining the McCain campaign. And Nieman Marcus also wants to thank her for shopping there in these harsh economic times.
