Axelrod Promises: I Won't Be Like Rove

David Axelrod, President-elect Obama's chief campaign strategist, will have the same White House title that Karl Rove did: "senior adviser."

But Axelrod says he'll do the job very differently, and with more specific responsibilities: promoting Obama's message rather than strengthening a political party.

I don't think anybody ever thought Axelrod was Rove like in any way. The comparison is actually a little insulting. I trust and respect Axelrod very much and his name shouldn't even be mentioned in the same book as Rove. Rove is a total disgrace.

We never thought Axelrod would be like Rove. Rove - the name should be synonymous with criminal.

I've never gotten the impression from Axlerod that he is grabbing for power to push his own agenda. He seems like the sort of person who takes pride in being at the top of his game - being the best at what he does - and his job is to help Obama be successful. Considering that Axlerod will be focused on communications, I will be very interested to see in what ways Obama continues to reach out to the public in the coming years - I think the youtube addresses are just the beginning.

Karl Rove belongs IN JAIL .... Rove knows he would be found guilty of many, many crimes which is why he ignored a legal subpoena ... I sure hope the dems find him in contempt in January 2009! PLEASE DEMS GROW A SPINE!
