This week country singer Tim McGraw hosted Saturday Night Live. In addition to sketches n James Bond, Thanksgiving, an adult-retainer, "Dateline" and a Bill Clinton impression during "Weekend Update," there is an obscenity-laden web-exclusive with Andy Samberg playing Obama's Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.

There was also an Arianna impression during Weekend Update.

Actually, Samberg as Blizzard Man was the funniest. Samberg is the physical comic on the show, the more emotive the character, the more effective his performances. The Rahm Emmanuel sketch, however, was the real turkey. Rahm isn't a jumpy enough character for Samberg to do his thang with.

That Rahm skit was "f***'in" hilarious!! Hate that it got cut!! I guess they could have run it in a future episode, but since it's all over the web, I doubt it.

These video clips with the embedded commercials are one of the reasons for the writer's strike last year.

Networks weren't sharing the fees that they charged advertisers on these clips.

Absolutely agree. Although much improved from last week's dreck, the post election stuff still isn't up to snuff. I did like the James Bond sketch, though, and the turkey's running from the hunter reminded me of the early days of the show. Now, I have to go try to get this super glue off my teeth....

The Rahm sketch was hilarious! Why did it get cut and the Clear Rite nonsense stayed in? I hope Samberg reprises the character in future episodes. That was funny.
