STUART, Fla. — A student at a Florida school has been arrested after authorities said he was "passing gas" and turning off his classmates' computers. According to a report released Friday by the Martin County Sheriff's Office, the 13-year-old boy "continually disrupted his classroom environment" by intentionally breaking wind. He then shut off some computers other students were using.

The Spectrum Junior-Senior High School was arrested Nov. 4.

A school resource officer placed the boy under arrest after he confessed about his behavior, according to the report. He was charged with disruption of school function and released to his mother.

The citizens of Stuard, FL, can now relax. Their tax dollars are supporting a quiet, but deadly police force. Thankfully, the breaking-wind-in-a-classroom crime is the hightest priority.
Toot-toot for the brave officers, and especially the Stuart School System. The tax-paying citizens of Stuart should be proud to know where their dollars are going.

yup. not good to have a lot of really old people and a lot of really young people together in one place like that without a good buffer of middleaged people who can remember what it's like to be young and are afraid of getting that old.

I blame it on the fact that it doesn't get ever get cold. All the riff-raff from us Northern States seem to migrate to Florida because they aren't tough enough to handle any snow. All those people with Peter-Pan complexes who see life as one big spring break always end up in Florida.

Why didn't the police laugh at this and refuse to arrest this child?

This is another example of what living under the Bush police state has done to this country.

This boy was being disruptive. When did bad behaviour in school become a police matter? The school could have just suspended him for a day or so. He obviously needs socialization skills.

Since they filled our school with "resource" officers &/or "Dare "cops everything is a police matter.

It started whenever teachers and administrators became incompetent, over-reacting yet under-everything-else loons, which literally 99% of them are. So it was whenever that happened.

a day when a study comes out that 1 in 3 teachers are only a chapter ahead of their students in math, we find out that they aren't that good in controlling their students either.
i want to make a joke but i can't seem to while thinking about the state of our education system

Wow that warrants getting arrested? While the warcriminals B00sh, Rove, Cheney are ignored and no one touches them? Obviously this kid wants attention and will probably end up on SNL some day.

What in the he|| is happening in this country? Then I want to see the word 'fair' changed in the dictionary. Fair is only if you are a rethuglican and have money.

I just cut one! Come and arrest me! Yal!

Hmmmmmm, now I'm wondering if eating beans will soon be outlawed in our public schools because students might pollute the atmosphere? ;-)

Come to Florida, the place where every kid can get arrested for a normal bodily function.
