A federal judge has awarded Facebook with $873 million in a spam lawsuit filed this past August, but it's a symbolic victory unlikely to yield them much money. And, spam marches on.

The amount, levied against against Adam Guerbuez and Atlantis Blue Capital, is the largest judgment ever for an action brought under Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act (CAN-SPAM), according to Facebook. Earlier this year MySpace won $230 million (the previous record) in a spam lawsuit against 'Spam King' Sanford Wallace and Walter Rines.

they all are invading my space on the computer with ads, pop ups, etc. This should not be allowed.
One should have to go search for those things not being forced to look at.

Spammers: the one demographic for which extraordinary rendition is justified, and for which Guantanamo should be retooled -- along with the Abu Ghraib extension campus.

So Mark Zuckerberg stole the idea for a site and is now cashing in on others who tried to spam his theft, nice.

Stole the idea? From MySpace? Hardly. And God forbid there is any competition. Facebook is light years ahead of MySpace in functionality.

You should research Facebook's history before making such bold, and inaccurate, accusations. Facebook was originally set up for a select set of college students and then opened up to the world at large when it became popular.

And using your logic, MySpace stole the idea from Friendster.

May I suggest you do a little more digging.

Zuckerberg is a smug thief.
With the Winklovess brothers that we worked for without a contract but rather through a verbal agreement and in analyzing Greenspan's site, Zuckerberg stole the ideas.

He may have been a good programmer, but by no means did he come up with that site all on his own.

Does this mean that Loretta won't speak to me any more? For 800 million, I can live with that. Now who do I contact for my piece?
