Monkey Waiters Hired In Japanese Restaurant Due To Economic Downturn (VIDEO)l

Restaurants are always hit hard during economic downturns, but one restaurant in Japan has a novel approach to cutting costs: replace the wait staff with monkeys. The monkeys only work two hours a day, but bring in tourists from around the globe. They've even been deemed sanitary, so long as they wear their miniature uniforms.

This isn't funny, this isn't cute. This is sick. Where are they "hiring" these monkeys from? They only work 2 hours a day, then where do they go? What happens to them once the novelty dies? Animals were not created for our amusement. They have lives of their own, and I hope one day we all can realize that.

Perhaps Pres.-elect Obama could use this as a public works program here in the US; at all federal office buildings, the restaurants could be staffed with the failed mortgage lenders, bankers, auto executives. He could make monkeys out of them instead of them making monkeys out of the American taxpayers.
