Rep. Sanchez Rejoining Hispanic Caucus After Quitting Over "Whore" Remark

Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-Calif.), who famously quit the Congressional Hispanic Caucus after charging Chairman Joe Baca (D-Calif.) with calling her a "whore," has decided to rejoin now that he's gone.

Rep. Nydia Velázquez (D-N.Y.) was elected chairwoman of the caucus last week, and Sanchez said Monday through a spokeswoman that it's time to return.

Why was she so offended about the so called name calling? Does she not get that this is politics and people are going to get called names. I don't like how nasty Loretta Sanchez got during the primary. She acted like Obama was not a fellow Democrat. Then when he won over Hillary, Loretta said she was going to still vote for Hillary at the Convention, she would lead a protest on behalf of Hillary. This kind of divisiveness is why the Democrats are always losing. The Democratic party has no place for people that carry-on like Loretta Sanchez.

She showed no respect for Obama's win.

If we are gonna put big articles on the Democrats' dirt, then can we at least focus on the DLC and Bush Dog Democrats we were so good at targeting in 2005-2007.

I don't know who Congressman Sanchez is, and as far as California politicians as a whole, I DONT CARE.
They have no pull either way in renegade groups in our party, and im not sure they even care.
And to top it off, they sat on their hands while the GOP and religious right instituted discrimination right under their noses.

At this point I feel that ALOT of CA Dems have to prove themselves.

I have found that the Sanchez sisters are some of the most divisive and partisan people in the Democratic party and congressional ranks. They clearly have agendas that are more self serving and exploit the Latino vote. I would like to see both of them out of the party as they are just as wrong for congress as a Michele Bachmann.

Loretta for sure is very divisive. She carried-on so ugly during the primary, I could not believe was I was hearing/witnessing.

She acted like Obama was not a fellow Democrat, and she was not going to acknowledge his win. That kind of divisiveness should not be tolerated by Democrats. It was disgrace how she behaved, because Hillary lost. She threatened at protest at the Convention. A DISGRACE IS HOW SHE BEHAVED.

As far as I am concerned, I hope some other Democrat challenges her the next time she is up for election, and takes her seat in the House.
